Portrait originally created for BG II NPC, Aerie. It struck me that the female game portraits we're nice in their way, but they were rather odd compared to the guys. Being the compulsive noodler that I am, I set out to make replacements--and here is one. Original art--no photos were harmed in the making of this portrait.
I know it's already been said, but the photoless portraits are just so much better. As a visual arts student with a focus on digital art I can say with authority that drawing requires skill and photoshop collage requires photoshop.

A nice portrait, but not very Aerie-like in my opinion.

I like it _________________________ DIE HAPPY Link
The "oddity" wouldn't be from the fact that the Forgotten Realms Elves are more Alien ("Grey") looking then Human looking and that Arie was a almond faced ,almond eyed, big Eared(not floppy but close), winged Elf with her wings clipped after they became gangrenous, would it? (With her looking "frail" cause her bone structure and body mass would be less cause the type of elf she is usually flies most of the time)

Big, beautiful blue eyes. And yet, she exudes an air of competance. I think this really captures the essence of Aerie -- very well done!

Just a little note on how amazingly good this actualy is: look very closely at her hair. At first it looks like it's quite short and simply tucked behind her ears. However it doesn't take long before you notice how the hair above the ears that cannot be tucked behind them is all pulled back towards a spot on the back of her head possibly a little below eye level. But you can see lose hair hanging behind the ears so maybe she's got it all pulled back in a tight but fluffy ponytail that hangs down behind her neck and is wide enough to show on each side however there is a third alternative.
Sporeboy's portraits are always incredibly good from an anatomical point of view so the chances of this being a simple accident are pretty slim. So imagine, if you would, that the upper half of her hair is all pulled back and held at the back by some clasp or grip, probably one of those ornamented ones with pretty engravings, probably oval shaped too to compliment those huge gentle eyes of hers. Then the lower section of hair is free to hang lose about the ears. This gives the impression that short bits of hair protrude from beneath that clasp splayed wide in a fashion reminiscent of a swan's tail although as scruffy and disorganised as most of the rest of her mane.
Of course it's possible that it's a simple inconsistency but the hair grip is a more pleasant way of looking at it than the really bushy ponytail or the mistake theory.
Well anyway, it's still a great portrait.

You're work is the best! The reason why you're portraits shined out all is because you did all the work yourself.
I think Brad D. Nault is there too!
I kinda frown at people using real photos for there portraits. I think bioware did this with some photos.
I'm not entirely against it! But to me its just wrong.
Good luck in whatever future projects you make be cooking up.
