I liked how this model, Evan, looked. The way he looks into the camera, full of confidence and with a slight smile on his lips. He struck me as a young guy fresh out of the academy and ready to take on the world :D What I did was give him more hair as it was too short for my likings, got rid of his t-shirt and corduroy jacket and gave him a shirt, vest and Celtic sword instead. Then I finished it off by giving the whole picture a paintover. ***Updated*** Some people suggested I added some more shadow here and there, so I did. I could possibly have added even more but I thought it best to stop before I overdid it :)

Marvelous portrait! He would make a fantastic bard as well as a swashbuckler/thief. There are not nearly enough hot looking male portraits on the board, so thank you for making such a great portrait!

OK, I updated it. The hair on the left side has now far more shadow, it certainly looks better this way. I added a slight shadow under his fringe (or whatever it's called :p ) and made the shadow under his eye darker. Also added a hint of shadow under his chin. That's all. Hope you like :)

Ooo... Isn't he a cutie? :-) Really good job at getting him out of his modern clothes and into something more... comfortable. I can just picture him as a young rougish scottish lad in a kilt... Love the hair, though yes, there should be some sort of soft shadow cast by it on his left... not a lot, but some around the curve of his cheek and to the left (his left) of his eye. Good job!

I think he looks like a rogue, too. It's very good! The hair does need a bit more shadow, and the deep shadow on the left side of his face (his left) needs a little darkening, but that's easy enough to fix. Nice blade. :)

Very nice. This is an excellent photo and everything looks natural that you added on. The only thing I'd watch is the left side's hair...it should leave a shadow or something?? Not sure...
