Awesome evil fighter of cleric. A Pally would never wear
something so revealing. Nice tease. I don't know to stare
at her chest or the obviously explored crotch area. The
chainmail reminds me of lingere I saw at the Victoria's
Secret.

I Like the shiny metal. Think of it this way, wouldn't you
have your portrait done in brand new shiny armor?

I really dig the chainmail too :)~
and i love that intense look in her eyes. well done.

I am not looking for realism in my Fantasy games or
portraits... just plausibility. :D

Very nice as always, but I'd like it a lot more if her
armor gave her protection in places where she'd need it.
Right now it's just too flimsy, so I wouldn't use this
portrait for anything more than wallpaper.

Where are her clothes?
The face is really, really well done. Nice work. She just
needs some clothes.

Mmmmmm magic nipple fitting chainmail... um protective!

Are you sure that's regular "four into one" european
chainmail because it sure as hell isn't "five into one"
oriental chainmal or four into one ringmail. Personaly I
don't mind because it's a piece of art and not a photo but
a word of advice, whilst chainmail is incredibly flexible
it's also extremely form fitting since the weight causes it
to hug snugly around whatever it's hanging off. The entire
weight of a suit of chainmail hangs upon the wearers
shoulders unless a belt is worn in which case it is
distributed evenly between shoulders and hips. Two or three
inches of padding should be worn underneath unless she
wants to loose her nipples due to friction created by
movement alone (oh, and it would help prevent broken bones
too). But it's a fantasy picture so we can give it a lot of
leeway.Hey, she isn't a modern woman so she could be strong
enough to wear all that without taking up the traditional
chainmail wide stanced waddle stance. Oh, and the left
gauntlet/miten actually looks quite like four into one
european chain but you'd only realy want to put it on the
back of the glove, it could damage what you 're holding.
My only actual gripe is that the mail sleeve along her arm
should hug it more closely, practicaly hanging off the
outer edge of her arm. As it is it sort of hovers above it
as if suspended (so probably magical, gravity defying
chainmail, no problems there). Just thought I'd draw you're
attention to the fact that her right sleeve doesn't touch
her arm at all!

It realy fits NWN.

wow - love that coif! irespective of the 'realistic'
argument about the rest of the armour, i love that coif!
(just incase you dont know folks, the coif is the chainmail
hood)

Hrm, let me clarify a little on the subject of shiny
metal... I don't mean sling mud all over the shiny
metal...more like as a soldier cleans their armor, they
might use a rag and circular motions...say a bit of sand or
something similar gets caught in the rag, then as she
continues to polish the armor, a slight scrape forms. Or
maybe she buffs too hard in some places...the metal there
might become slightly worn, changing how much it reflects.
Or more dramatically, say this girl were out in the rain
with her attire. (*chuckle*) She comes in, takes cloth to
armor to dry it off. But there's that +blocked+ spot between the
raised edge and the rest of the armor that she can't get
the cloth into. The water left there might end up rusting
the armor a little, just at that location. Even new, there
are things that can happen to make the armor less 'clean'.
Now, if that's not shiny metal and instead metal with
chaotic white enameling all over it, then disregard, and
take this advice instead: The white enamel hurts my eyes ;)
It looks like the metal is just a case of Raytracing gone
haywire though.
Good luck with your next effort. :)

Has anyone else realized she would have to be sewn into
that thing? ugh...
Posted by Thought ( ..xxx.xxx ) at 2002-09-05 10:59:00
Realistic? No.
Easy on the eyes? Oh yeah.
Posted by GraveDigger ( ..xxx.xxx ) at 2002-09-05 10:42:00
Yes, yes, yes.... I know you are "supposed" to wear padding
under the mail. But with padding underneath the armor, you
cant see the.... well you know!
Anway, that must be what the "+" in magic armor is for.
The plus replaces the padding... hehehe.

Ever wear chainmail? If you don't wear some sort of
padding it will rub your skin off like a cheesegrater.
This woman won't have any nipples by the end of the first
day! :P
Plus chainmail armor is pretty much useless without
padding. Most blows would break through bone, not cut
you. So you needed something to absorb the impact. The
chainmail was mostly to help keep the padding intact.
But who the hell cares, she's still hot. :D
GREAT work!

chrome g-strings :)?
Anyway, my point is...No, but we can now make them !

Okay,
Good job. I like this one -- much better than most of the
computer-generated artworks I've been seing.
Keep up the good work.
