The property on these gloves can be changed. Use the ability on an item(prefered a generic/basic item). The gloves gain that ability while you lose that item.
As long as that item's tag is in the module(hence a generic item), when you reuse the gloves ability, you get it back. It may or may not be identified when you get it back.

Cool idea and I like it...only thing that gives me pause is that I use a Master Scribe guy so players can name thier items IG...you think this would break it? _________________________ People react violently to fur rather than leather because it is easier to pick on rich chicks with bad taste than biker gangs.

Those ideas would probably be awesome as well, but for the most part I thought if it permanently destroying an item upon absorbing it's properties. Basically say the gauntlet is able to absorb 5-8 properties upon reaching it's max if you absorb another it removes one of the previous at random.
You can also probably put a chance the gauntlets themselves would be destroyed upon absorbing properties (kinda a balancing value) the more properities the gauntlets absorb the greater the chance they themselves get destroyed.
Again the item is quite unique, and definetly can be played as is. _________________________ PW Action Server:

I was trying to limit it to one ability only. That way the person would have to think about what he wanted on it.
Making it absorb multiple properties? I will think on it. Maybe make it based on Character Level? The higher level you are the more properties you can put on it? Up to a maximum...
About the destroying an item permanently? Did you mean where you use it, get the property, then use it again for another one without getting the property back?
Or where it has the secondary ability to destroy the target item? Maybe with a switch to switch between the targeting abilities?

Pretty nifty, could you make so it could absorb properties from multi items upto a certain maximum, and then after that maximum is reached remove a property at random. Also could it be set to destroy an item permenently? _________________________ PW Action Server:
