This item is miscellaneous, and is mainly for use in the toolset or servers. When the item is used, it opens a dialogue box, through which the character can choose ANY of the preset appearances in the game, (creatures, NPCs, etc.).
This is not a polymorpher, and only changes character appearance, not attributes or hit points. It simply allows the character to become one of the 402 constant appearances in NWN.
It does not require any haks, etc. The item is in closed in the following module. To use it in your module and/or server, copy and paste the bottom 2 lines from the OnModuleLoad script in item properties into yours. Then, export all 404 assosciated scripts(all the scripts in the module) into a place where you can find them, then, in your module, import them. And, of course, make an item with the tag appearance_chang. Voila!
Whether it be a fun tool for DMs, a reward for a particularly trying quest, or a plot item essential in your module (ie, for accessing small areas as a fairy), the appearance changer is an all around fun and neat item.
Beat up your foes in style as a 50 foot tall Mephistopheles or simply a chicken with a strength of 30 and 600 hit points.
IMPORTANT NOTE: DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT select the appearance type "Invalid" under Npc->NWN miscellaneous appearances. It will screw up your game.
I decided to also put this up, for all who use winZIP exclusively, even though it does not compress as well. If you have winRAR, use the .rar version. Ignore this being called Appearance is everything 2, it is the same exact thing.
Lucky for you, there is an easy way to export the conversation without having to recreate the whole thing.
When you are at the export menu, choose Conversation from the "Resource Type" dropdown menu, then choose the file "appear_con" (or whatever the name is, it's the only file there). Then click export!
Thanks for voting.

I did all the scripts no problem - it was quick...but how do you export the conversation...now that is a pain to re-create. _________________________ Imtherealthing

Nice!!...would have given you a 10 if you had made an erf for this...what a pain to have to import all those scripts...you should put an erf...would be nice. _________________________ Imtherealthing
Well, I wasn't actually planning on it, because I don't actually really model for NWN2, however...
If there was enough of a demand to make the item, I might acutally. If you really want it, and can get a couple of other people to post back asking for it, I'll make it :)
Thanks for rating, by the way.

What are the chances you are going to release one of these for Neverwinter Nights 2??? That would be the bee's knees (whatever that means!)

Vinchenzo made a post here.
Plz check out my entries. I'm currently making a few simple modules, designing 3 special characters, and hope to someday be good this stuff.
This is Vinchenzo, finishing his post with the following advice:
Don't use Latin improperly (Lupis means grey, Rufus is red, Canid is dog, so on.) Furries annoy me with their improper usage of such. And I'm a furry!!! Ugh...
Don't vote for Beta things unless told they are finished, unless posted specifically by the author.
Don't abuse the vote and post function, don't vote for your own/friends stuff just to get a high vote. Don't flame vote either just to be an ass.
There is a voting system for how the points are used, even I forget, but we should follow it (and tattoo it to our forehead, lol)
