This tiny packet contains three new DM tools. These tools have all been successfully tested in actual play, but if you find a bug please let me know.
Tag based item scripting must be enabled on your mod to use these tools without modifying your module's "OnActivateItem" script.
Saphire of Time: Need to allow for a long trip? Want to compress time a bit so the players can rush through a few rest cycles? The Saphire of Time can advance the game anywhere from an hour to a thousand years.
Sandman Tool: It's 11:30 and your wife is getting mad. The dog still needs walking, the kids are going to be up in six short hours for school, and your players just won't call it quits for the night? Hit em with the sandman tool. Each time you hit them their Con will drop 2 pts, Their dex will drop 3 points, their int will drop 2 points, Str will drop 1 pt, Wis 2, and Cha 1... Speed will decrease 10, Spell failure will increase 5%, and lastly the targeted character will say "I'm getting tired." All but the most obtuse players will take the hint and head for the nearest inn.
The Vanishing Widget: This was my idea, but my scripting skills fell pathetically short of the task. The actual script was written by Sir Elric without who's help this would have been two separate tools instead of one. When you're a DM taking screen shots or vid captures can be rather problematic. The DM avatar tends to clutter up the shot something fierce. The vanishing widget is the answer! It forces the DM into a state of cutscene invisibility and keeps him that way until he uses the widget again. For those of us who don't know the lexicon like the backs of our hands... cutscene invisibility makes you completely invisible, even to yourself. It's the perfect way to take in-game screenies or video captures be it during a session or just to show off your build. That's right... You can even take a screen shot of a completely empty room without having to hide your avatar behind a pillar.
Yes, some glitches appeared with 1.68 and 1.69. For the most part they're just annoying, but DON'T SIT ON ANY PLACABLES. It can be darned annoying if your avatar get's stuck in the seated position, and there is no fix for it other than to relog. _________________________ If A is a success in life, then A equals x plus y plus z. All useful little tools. I employ the Vanishing Widget most (no need for advancing time 1000 years most games, heh) and it's really a godsend for taking screenshots. I will mention that the cutscene invisibility occasionally makes for some hiccups with the DM client. I've personally experienced problems in reappearing (several times) and having a possessed NPC have its conversation not be heard by PCs. The last issue was fixed by turning off the vanishing widget and re-possessing the NPC. The other issue sometimes goes away if I hit the appear/disappear DM command a few times, but it hasn't always. Bottom line, the tool is worth using, but be ready to deal with the quirks as a DM.

It was because of some content that I had done that was throwing the monkey and not yours...well...it was yours and mine basically fighting is all, lol. I put it in a mod its own to check rather than my own base and it works fine.... _________________________ People react violently to fur rather than leather because it is easier to pick on rich chicks with bad taste than biker gangs.
OK, I checked and the files are correct. I'm not sure why your saphire of time isn't working. I'd be very interested to know exactly what kind of problem you're having.
I did update the file anyway. While I was testing I found a few tiny errors that needed addressing.
The Sandman Tool was using a CEP icon, the Saphire of Time was not flagged as identified, and the confirmation for the 8 hour time advance was wrong (the script was right, and the node would advance the game 8 hours, but the confirmation node said 1 hour which was, of course, just plain sloppy on my part). Any other bugs you find please let me know. _________________________ If A is a success in life, then A equals x plus y plus z. Work is x; y is play; and z is keeping your mouth shut.
Don't be so sure. It sounds like I screwed up and packaged the wrong item. The timestone is something I'm playing with for SP mods. There's a different item, the Saphire of Time, that I actually finished and used. I'll recompile the correct items and upload them tonight.
It's supposed to open a conversation asking you how far you want to advance time. Then after you select it confirms. If you confirm mit changes the game clock. _________________________ If A is a success in life, then A equals x plus y plus z. Work is x; y is play; and z is keeping your mouth shut.

I like it but foir different purposes. Using the sandman script to make it as a Resurection sickness so to speak is nice. Vanishing widget is cool but for some reason the Time Stone thingy is not working right but I am sure that is on my end and not yours. _________________________ People react violently to fur rather than leather because it is easier to pick on rich chicks with bad taste than biker gangs.

If this does all it says it does then I dig it. Be back later to vote... _________________________ People react violently to fur rather than leather because it is easier to pick on rich chicks with bad taste than biker gangs.
