Welcome to G.A.T.S (Generic Area Template System) v1.4 Cities in Neverwinter Nights can be quite large and complex. One of the main problems after creating a city is to create all the 'generic' areas a player can visit. Creating all the countless homes and other areas can be quite time consuming. Most of these areas are too small for a full blown spawn script such as NWN Spawn System and creating a different area for each one a waste of resources. This is where GATS steps in. GATS allows you to create an Area Template and spawn creatures or other placeables inside it. The spawn only happens when a player enters the area. This minimizes the system resources needed. When a player exits the area, all objects that were created are destroyed.

A perfect system - excellent for cutting out unneeded areas, and adds a lot of variation with dynamic spawns. A solid 10 from me.

I know that it isnt your system but there is a tiny flaw that i would like to point out.
When I made an Area using this sometimes i found that placeables would spawn in the middle of a room and people around the edges. dont get me wrong it is a great system but is there anyway someone could remedy this

LOL
first of all it is not MY system. It is a script that was made a long time ago by C. Durbin. (no longer active)
I have been using it and thought it would deserve to be maintained.

This GATS system does exactly the opposite of what you propose for an inn.
You want one door leading to individual rooms.
GATS has multiple doors leading to the same area.
It is not perfect and works best when there are only a few players. (less risk of having many people entering aa door at the same time)
But it saves a lot of spaces creating 100's of commoner housing with only a single area.

I am building an inn where characters have rooms where they can rest and have personal chests. Instead of building a long corridor with lots of rooms, I was thinking of having one door in the inn which goes into the characters room. The question I have is -
If 2 characters go through the door directly after each other I would like each character to appear in their own room and not see each other. Is that possible by using your system. i.e. different instances of the same room template ?
Thanks in advance

The readme shows you how to setup a "House" for a city.
But you are not limited to a single area using this system. It is possible to have several different types of generic areas such as:
Hovel, House, Mansion, Tavern, etc...
The advantage is that you need only one area for each type and multiple doors.
