Description
Basicly I wasn't satisfied with the selection of items in NWN... since majority are +2's and +1's and considering you get to level 20 most of em look kind of lame for high level characters. Most of the new items are bits and pieces I took from Various 3E sources and just compiled it in an erf file. There's around 100+ items I think. I'm probably going to change a few of them specially the color of some. I also added the real versions of some items in the game. Like the Girldes of Giant str and Items like Namarra that were kind of given the wrong attributes and abilities Just because it's called 'Neversleep' doesn't mean it does sleep effects.... also there's a few artifact items... though some might of been a bit messed up because of toolset limitation and lack of magical attributes missing. But anyways most of not 90% of the new items are D&D items, either converted from BG2, or taken from source books, (BG2 converted items aren't perfect... and there will be minor differences.)
This is an update to the Item listing. No I haven't added any credit to anyone since I haven't ripped anything. I just added a Read me explaining where I got the sources for em. So if you already made the items, sorry but the credit goes to the source book and not me and not anyone that claims to have invented that unique item or item made from a certain material. So instead of trying to get credit for things give the credit for the D20 people and the people that made the source books. I didn't want any credit why I didn't put any text files. I just wanted people to have access to as many D&D items that exist officially. So again sorry to those that think items were taken from em... they weren't they were just taken from official source books and transfered for use in NWN.
I guess I will never understand why others always seem to enjoy ranting on and on about a simple thing. After all its not like the items are Top Secret or even Semi-Uber or Uber that use 2das or scripts there simple plain items that ANYONE that can use the toolset can make, making a simple item is mere childs play. As for names and even the properties well not a single one of the 'Users' of the NWN game engine can claim legal rights to any of it. So just move on and make new gear. LOL Who cares anyhow its a GAME, so unless you where PAID by Bio-Ware to create the items for them well then there is really nothing to complain about as I know I have made items with MAX properties using all sorts of build tricks including BadStrrefing them to use in Arenas and after a while I simply junked them and made more. I am 100% positive, that any item that has been created in less time and planning than it takes to create even one such well planned and balanced and tricked out item, is nothing special at all. With that said Im going to DL this pack and check them all out to insure each has a good description, and sequential Tags and resrefs rather than a random menagerie of names. As for the use of this pack more than anything its a simple time saver and instead of complain you should be proud that someone liked the gear so much they used it. Personaly I would be bragging about it being included as I would take that as a compliment showing it is a nice piece of equipment. I may even decide to exclude certain items. Maybe ;) _________________________ Evil is a point of view... Silverymoon Forum

Personally, I think criticism is good. It helps us improve on what we already are. Im not even from the US or UK (Mabuhay ang Pilipinas!!!) but I know incorrect spelling and grammar when I see it (Great work by the way, I dont mind the errors). Neither am I perfect. Its all up to IceTitan if he would even read the post anyway. Just because you have critics doesnt mean you arent doing well or that the critic is perfect himself. Ive yet to see a statue of a critic. Thats the whole point of criticism; we all know we arent perfect, so we help improve each other by pointing out each others mistakes. A mature person will know how to handle criticism well and not take it as an affront (unless its just useless flaming).
It might be a good idea to have someone with at least some training look over your sentence construction and spelling. I personally would welcome something like that as it easy to make mistakes and too fall into poor writing habits. Saying that no one is perfect, and arguments of this sort, merely indicate to me a lack of competence. As far as the argument, poorly presented, about who knows how to speak proper English, it is completely spurious. There are rules for writing gramatically correct sentences. If you don't want too, or don't know how to follow them, that's fine, but please don't take offense when someone who tries to follow them points out mistakes.

Wow...........You said it!!! Couldn't agree with ya more, ppl should stop critisizing so much. U shouldnt critisize some1 cause you aint perfect, too. Thats what i say.

Proper English? whats that? are you from england? that the only place i would expect you to be from to say that....if ya aint fromengland and ya saying that....something wrong wit yous buddy....one walk around in the real world for more than 3 seconds and you will see most people have slang for everything...i dont think there is a "proper" version of any language being spoken anywhere by anyone but clowns....and of all the issuse you small minded self could be sooooo deeeeeeeeeeply concerned about you pick at some ones grammer and typing.........WHO CARES! and for the americans....whats on the end of a pencil? a rubber or an eraser? whats at the back top of your thighs? your bum or your butt? bloody? a foul word? uh....not in america...where we aparently dont speak "proper" english....its lame people the world is in turmoil....man killing man at the highest rates ever....AND YOU THINK "PROPER GRAMMER MEANS DIDDLY?!?!?!?!" you have aparently lost your marbles.....some where inaccessable to your smallminded limited imagination self look at me i dont use "proper" punctuation.....or spelling or grammer......but i bet you understand every word and if ya say you dont your a liar....WISE WORDS FOR THE DAY.............::: " Is it whats said or how its said thats important? "
That's not nitpicking, that's critisizing the author's ignorance. People these days REALLY need to learn how to learn proper english... *sigh* ****tards...

A few words of advice to the author.
"it's weilder" is spelled "its wielder." You used this dozens of times. In fact, almost every single case of "it's" you used should be "its". If you can't substitute "it is", don't use "it's".
Don't start a sentence with "But". You start sentences with "Also" frequently; in almost every case, you shouldn't have the word "also" there at all.
"This sword drains the life out of its target. Regenerating it's weilder as it strikes." That's one sentence. Use a comma, not a period.
Something you hunt is "prey", not "pray."
"[This club] not only helps it's weilder hit it's mark more often.
But also Has a more intensified Impact Fire Damage."
Again, one sentence, use a comma. There's no reason to capitalize Has, Impact, Fire, or Damage.
You freely interchange Masterwork/masterWork/MasterWork/Master work/Master Work/master Work/masterwork/master work. Please pick one (the correct one is "Masterwork") and use it.
I imported this file along with several others, only to find myself picking through each individual item to try to correct a serious of grievous typos that make the module look as if it were created by an person who had never taken a high school English course. At this point, starting over from a backup will be dramatically faster than attempting to correct several hundred highly visible grammar mistakes.
Don't get me wrong, I applaud every person who joins the community and produces something. However, I also believe in honest feedback and criticism of actual flaws. This item pack is very horribly written. For me, personally, that detracts from the quality of the items so bad that I cannot allow myself to use this pack in my module. Others may feel differently. If the corrections I pointed out above seem like nitpicking, by all means, try this out.
As for this copycat nonsense, it's ridiculous to claim anyone stole anything in an environment where everyone adapts from others' source material, and everyone tries to make hundreds of weapons from six models and four colors.
Unless you completely invented a weapon yourself, I wouldn't think of accusing anyone of anything. If you didn't make the model, I wouldn't accuse anyone of making the same combination from extremely limited pieces. Unless you invented the name (like "Blade of Glynezaki"), I wouldn't get upset if someone comes up with the same name with generic terms to describe the weapon's properties (which were chosen from a list). "Ice Talon" would not be unique.
Next you'll be accusing someone of ripping off your Gandalf NPC or stealing your dragon named Troggdor.
Anyhow, I digress. Pack has good weapons but the spelling is absolutely atrocious.

This is a compilation of the old system into a single score. There were 24 that made this score of 8.13 then rounded to 8.

I'm sure this stuff is really cool... But... I was wonderin'... Where do you extract .erf files to?
(sorry to be a n00b)

Yeah there's always a few Griefers.
Anyways thanks for the kind words,
would of posted more but shrugg, didn't see any reason to.
Might post some later not sure... since was working on an item pack for a Friends PW based on Ravenloft... but since it's taking so much time I might just go use the other item packs.
Would of answered the posts but after the griefing I said screw it and moved on.
Anyways if I feel like it I might expand the items. Unfortunatly the new items might be already made and I don't keep track of items since I've got other things to work on (friends mod for one since I havent' found any monster erf's I have to redo em all.... sigh.
Anyways thanks for the kind words guys...

IceTitan,
First and formost that you for your time and effort. You saved me alot of time here for a FR PW I am working on. I plan on using many D&D source books to translate items as it is a forgotten realms PW. I look forward to seeing these posts from people saying "you stole my ideas" etc. I am going to make a section of Waterdeep and I bet someone will say "hey I have a city called waterdeep and I want my due credit you ripper!" and thats ok because I am always up for a good laugh. You did good work here. It shows by the HUGE amount of downloads you got and only 1 or 2 people with brains the size of a grape who can't see past there own selfish noses have complained. Keep up the good work.

You must import the .erf file to use it. Go to File>>Import
and choose the archive.

nice prefab. i gave 10 stars. it's all stuff from books and
other d&d products. it's no ones "original" work and no one
got ripped off. thanks for your work icetitan.

Hey!
Usually I dont care much 4 prefabs, but this is darn good
work! Even though 1 SHOULD probably be able to make them on
their own, this is good and hard work.
That wasnt complaining, but only a fact.
Not many would do it as good though.
I have created some reskins and I had 1 WHINER like
shanaran once on my stuff. That pisses a guy off, and hang
in there IceTitian, ur winning this fight.
As 4 U Shanaran, u should be ashamed of urself. People put
stuff up on the vault to those who wants it, not spoiled
brats like urself 2 complain and holler about.
IceTitan may have done stuff that is similiar 2 ur items but
just as Mad Scientist said, Bioware wouldnt do that, nor
any normal person.
AAAAAAAAH! Sorry Mad Scientist! I didnt mean it to look
like your post PLEASE dont sue me!!!!!
J/K
Understand Shanaran, if someone names their bunny (or
whatever) the same name u do, u dont go around complaining.
My sis named her guinea pig Bilbo and we didnt get sued 4
that

If I got the time I might expand the item list to those of
Planescape Torment, IWD1 and 2 (Though 2 has mostly crappy
items). But been mostly busy with other things, NWN isn't
the only game nor thing I work on.
As long as it's only that Troll Shanaran that's complaining
I'll try to fit the time to add more. Though if someone did
make an item listing of the other BIS games would be nice
to know.
Posted by IceTitan ( ..xxx.xxx ) at 2002-11-30 04:19:00
Rozarus I sent you an e-mail about the erf files.
Sorry don't check the site much since people have a habit
of complaining because someone decided to make em available
without requiring credit be given.
Posted by IceTitan ( ..xxx.xxx ) at 2002-11-30 04:17:00
I leave to do something else and several months later he's
still complaining WTF kind of troll is he.
Posted by Rozarus ( ..xxx.xxx ) at 2002-11-30 02:35:00
This one is a .erf file so I don't know how to use it. If
anyone could help me please mail to me because I really
need to know how to use .erf files.
Posted by MadScientist ( ..xxx.xxx ) at 2002-09-04 14:13:00
Hummm, I guess if I make a +2 Greatsword Bioware should
sue me cause I made one exactly like their... I am
starting to really worry about it ;-)
Well maybe its only me, but I thought we ALL were
restricted to the same properties in the editor and "fate"
or any other osbscure power might bring 2 or even more!!!
items with the same properties. Oh well, if Shanaran
really want to complain about it, I dont care. I still
downloaded it and I really appreciate the work/research
you did for us IceTitan.
Posted by bill ( ..xxx.xxx ) at 2002-09-03 16:46:00
this good work ignore winers like Shanaran and keep it up.

Funny how people like you are all alike.
I feel sad for the likes of you who don't have anything
creative or usefull to add just posting to cause more
friction. You guys can all play the finger and blame game
as much as you want. Your just making yourselves look like
idiots.
Anyways if you got nothing useful or worthwhile to say than
don't post.
