Due to many requests, I've decided to release a version of the Purple Rose Inn that doesn't require the HardCore Ruleset (HCR) by Archaegeo.
The Purple Rose Inn is a set of scripts that DM's and Builders can use to change the way resting is handled in NWN. When the scripts and areas are set up correctly, PC's can be forced to sleep in inns in certain areas (such as towns) or have bedrolls and food to rest (There are NO time limits between rests however!).
The scripts allow for three different types of rooms and unlimited amount of them. The suite features many features such as guests, sleep overs, and meals being cooked. A complete working barmaid is also included. For more information, visit http://www.shepherdsoft.net/NWN/purplerose.aspx.
The file has been moved off of my own server and onto nwvault. Hopefully, that'll get rid of the problems of people being unable to download the PRI. It should have a home here now.
Chainek, send me an email with your rest script and the PRI rest script and we'll see what we can do about combining them. That would be the easiest way to fix the problem.

This inn is awesome!
I am having a bit of a problem though. I am unable to use the OnRest script that came with it because it conflicts with some other stuff I have. So that means even with the 'forceinnrest' placable in the area pc's can still rest without a bed. So they don't even have to pay for a room. They can just walk upstairs and rest at the top of the stairs. If I set the area to 'norest' in the area properties then the player can't rest using a bed either.
So I figure that gives me two options. Either try to add the part about checking for the 'forceinnrest' placable to my current OnRest script or redesign the top level of the inn so instead of staying in the same area when you enter a room it takes you to a seperate area that allows rest. (which is the inside of an inn room)
First I tried adding the part about checking for the 'forceinnrest' placable to my OnRest script and couldn't get it to work. So then I tried my second idea, making the rooms seperate areas. But now, the doors don't get locked when you rest and the innkeeper thinks you havn't used the room forever after. And, since pc's can rest without using the beds the door won't close and lock anyways. I had to change the tags on all the doors so that I could link the rooms together. So I also created copies of the scripts in the room triggers and changed them so they close the door to the current room they are in. But it still doesn't work.
Grr, I'm in a bind. I figure I should wait before I try anything else and see what others have to say.
This is a compilation of the old system into a single score. There were 2 that made this score of 10.00 then rounded to 10.

Sorry for lack of updates on this. I'm back finally. Webpage has been updated a bit. I'm a bit out of the loop though with HCR but I'll try to get to it and update the darn thing.
Let me know what problems there are.

the author is MIA- I emailed him/herand have gotten no response. This mod is designed for an ancient HCR version and would love ot see it updated (and how easy that would be) for HCR 3.0

Shadebringer,
Don't mind that error message. Everything will still work fine. I use
some included scripts and so NWN gets a little confused on how to
handle them since they never compile. You have all the scripts you
need.

Hi
Just wanted to say that I downloaded and installed the Inn
but when importing it I get a message saying it couldn't
find 4 include files, do you want to continue anyway?
I of course said yes, and it seems to work fine, I just
wondered what the 4 files are and what do they do?
