The Purple Rose Inn module is a fully functioning inn that can be used as a base to any module and added to fit into the worlds you DM.
I was frustrated with the way NWN handled sleeping and that you could sleep anywhere any number of times. I spent the last several weeks scripting out an inn that players would have to rest in if they were in town. If they are not in town, they have to use bedrolls and have food.
I believe this to be a great addition to the game and wanted to make it available to the public so that more people could take advantage of it. I have designed the module to be used as a base and have other builders or DM?s add to it to fit into their campaign. For this reason, the module only has a few areas areas.
This module depends on the Hard Core Rule set by Archaegeo and can be downloaded from his website at: http://nwn.darkemud.com/~darke/HC/index.htm

Excellent Inn System. Relaible, and extreamly effective.

Good old standard - only way of this being any better is using the the new varriables available to builders in the toolset. Could cut down on size of the include; but would require a rewrite, of sorts. Great work, nonetheless! _________________________ "I'll sit myself behind this clock, and sing tunes on its belfry!

The file has been moved off of my own server and onto nwvault. Hopefully, that'll get rid of the problems of people being unable to download the PRI. It should have a home here now.

This is a compilation of the old system into a single score. There were 3 that made this score of 8.67 then rounded to 9.

PRI 1.2.0 has been released.
Changes have been made so that the PRI will work with HCR 3.1. Hope that helps some people out there that have enjoyed this in the past. Please leave comments if you have them!

Sorry for lack of updates on this. I'm back finally. Webpage has been updated a bit. I'm a bit out of the loop though with HCR but I'll try to get to it and update the darn thing.
Let me know what problems there are.

A Non-HCR version of the PRI has now been released and can
be downloaded from the website.

yay! Thank you! I want to make an online RP tavern game that
actually uses HakPaks, but I bet a whole room will be devoted to
credit because I'm going to be a weasel and mash together stuff
here.. for the beta of course... =P

Mr. Bungle,
Load the module with the area you want to export. Click
on the file menu and then choose export. Change the type of
file you want to export to area by opening the drop down
box. Select the area and then select export. Once you're
done there, open up your module you want to export the area
to and select import from the file menu. Select the ERF
file you made and push okay. That should do it.

Sorry for my n00bish question... but how do you do
that? =P
Posted by csmyu ( ..xxx.xxx ) at 2002-09-15 01:38:00
by exporting the area from one module and importing it to
the other.

How can you add mods and areas to exsisting mods? Thanks.

It would be possible to make a version of the PRI that
doesn't use HCR. All you'd have to do is edit the
pri_on_play_rest script and remove all the references
there to the HCR. You'd also have to make an on Enter
script that looks like the hc_inc_on_enter script. If you
guys need help with that, e-mail me.
I'm only releasing an HCR version though.

Well, Why would you want to make a module without HCR?
Maybe because I haven't got the time to add a lot of extra
bull**** special realistic rules when there is
conversations and plots that needs my attention!

Bump to the without HCR question?

Is there anyway you don't have to use HCR?
