Ring of Wizardy Level 1 from the 3E DM's guide I tried to recreate the Ring of Wizardry 1 from the DM's guide as well as I could. The Ring is supposed to double your spell slots for 1st Level spells. Since I couldn't do that exactly in NWN, I just added 6 Level 1 Spell slots to it. I also bumped the cost up to 20,000 gp like it is in the DMG.

Nice item out of 1st ed DMG. I've been playing since 1977.
Thanks for taking the time to do this. Seems like a lot of people just want stuff for free.
This will be used in Land of Etarnon (roleplay) as a custom item, "Yobrewop's Ring of Wizardry" Along with a book by Yobrewop telling the tale of the long lost arts of magical ring-crafting.
This is a compilation of the old system into a single score. There were 1 that made this score of 8 then rounded to 8.

I do think it nice that powerboy added this item, I made a version myself but I wasn't as liberal with the extra spell slots :) I tend to follow a general rule when trying to do the doubling of spell slots on the rings of wizardry. I look at the max number castable for the character level 5 over the minimum to cast the spell (keep in mind that rings of Wizardry weren't to my knowledge able to double more than 5th lvl spells meaning look at the spell slots for that lvl on a basic lvl 14 wizard (generalist in my preference). Then have it add that many slots. Adding what you did is more likely to double the number of castings a day a sorceror can do. But as I said it's a good item to be added. If you do make the other versions, I'd recommend adding them to this hak and posting in the same place. That way those who feel that just one item isn't enough will be somewhat sated...and of course it does save time for other 'young' developers to find good items on the vault :)
Keep up the good work!
Star Dragon, I'm not sure what you are doing..are you trying to delete the extra Elven Chains you created from the toolset? Are you in the Custom tab to begin with? If so you should have a 'Remove' option when you right click on the item... If not feel free to PM my account (merentha) on the bioware boards and when I'm home I'll take a look at my toolset to help more.

You people SUCK!... I've been playing over 20 years and NWN is awesome. Here a guys goes through the trouble of trying to add something (while basic) is a good addition that bioware left out (for now). Instead of choosing to NOT waste our time buy making post, you post garbage.
ignore these immature spammers, I think you did a good job trying to be faithful to teh original concept. I myself have just started making items for my campaign (hard to port a 6 year PnP to compute) but I think it was a good start and I for one appreciate your efforts and hope to see more from you in the future!
I do have a question though. How can you delete a custom entry? I messed up twice and need to erase two elven chainmail entries (I didn't know there was a standard one already) and instead of deleting my entry it made a duplicate! now I have 3 elven chian (one in standard I am keeping. 2 in custom I want to erase) there is no delete option in the right click and I can't drag teh file to teh trash can pictured. HELP! Plese send solution to my email (THNX!)

No worries mate, you can't please everyone.
Hey just an idea that may help.
Make several of the items from the dmg and combing them
into one erf then release then release them as one pack.
Name it DMG items or some such. That would really help a
lot of us with out the new source manuals.
Well just my two cents....

Wow! Thanks for the GREAT constructive comments! Tommorow
the Ring of Wizardry Level 2 should be up also!
Sorry if some of you think it's useless, but thanks for
taking the time to comment anyway.

Settle down people.
He is just trying to make something from the official
rules. If you don't have a need for it, don't make rude
comments, just move on.

So useless release. Anyone who knows how to use toolset can
make one... :/

Heh, it SEEMS like it isn't much, but not everyone who has
NWN has D&D books lying around to let them know there are
all kinds of cool magic things out there. I'm starting to
make a lits of these items and deciding which I want in my
module/PW. Some are too powerful for my designs but almost
all of them will be one of a kind, so some people will have
to wait until someone dies (where it has a chance to
be "lost" somewhere else in the world or gives it away...

Yep. Just a Ring with 6 Spell slots on it. I wouldn't call
it useless, just an incredibly easy item to make :)

So this is a ring that has 6 spell slots on it? And this
is just this ring, nothing else? No offense, but that's
the most useless prefab ever. ;)
