While playing the Witch's Wake (thank you, Rob!) I got the idea for these. These triggers will make a Spot or Listen check for any entering PC. If successful, they will provide a clue and a few XP. As the script uses the Name field for the message, you only need a single script for many triggers.
This is a compilation of the old system into a single score. There were 5 that made this score of 9.80 then rounded to 10.

Yes, as Niz apparently found out, the floaty text will
only say "Listen!", whereas the actual message text will
appear in the chat window (because the text might be too
long for floaty text).

My bad... evrything is hunky-dory. :)

As I stated before... my scripting knowledge is small.
I've painted down a listen trigger and typed the message
into the name field of the trigger itself (not anywhere in
the script).
When a character walks over it-Iget the trigger sound and
it is destroyed, but it always says "listen" instead of my
message.
Help???
Sorry for being such a pain. :(

This is awesome.
Thanks from the bottom of my heart, from the "scripting
neutered". :)

I'm glad you like it.
Actually, MasterM, I did such a thing in my module (Four
Demons). Making a generic one - that's a good idea. I
might just do that.

This little script is excellent, and simplistic. I love it.
Make more Please!!!! Maybe a script that once spotted
creates and object at x location etc....
