I've seen a whole buncha people standing around all equipped with +8 astral longswords. So I've made a bunch of +8 longswords, each one matching an alignment (good, evil, chaotic, lawful, neutral along both axis). Any player should have access to at least 2 of the longswords. All 6 match astral's lvl /lore req so it's still an option if someone wants to use instead of the atsral. All are unique with differing properties (except they are all +8), different appearances & decent 'back-history' descriptions. They're all .erfed in this zip. 1. Martyr's Gift (Good aligned) 2. Abyssal Thorn (Evil aligned) 3. Razor's Wit (Chaotic aligned) 4. Rules of Engagement (Lawful aligned) 5. Equilibrium's Edge (Neutral aligned) 6. Antagoniser's Seal (Neutral aligned)

Thank you for making these, very useful. Ive thought about it quite a bit there are too many good orientated weapons and not enough evil weapons (Chaotic as well) it would be great to see some forbidden weapons that corrupt there wielders (+2 to evil for wielding) or something like that... _________________________
Astral +8 longswords
+8 with 2d6 (or was it 2d4) sonic damage
req level: 23
lore req to id: 21
They're all longswords because I was only trying to tempt people away from the astral longsword (completely away from longsword would be a lot harder). I consider longswords the best weapon of their peers (medium-sized, martial weapons) as they do equal damage to axes (factoring in crit damage) but have a better chance of crit. Blunts don't compare as they have worse crit range & equal multiplyer. Tempting people onto a worse base-weapon is hard because they won't just jump across once they hit level 23 when all their feats have gone towards longsword etc.
The Toolset already contains a +8 weapon of each type, so there are already weapons available for those not using longswords (though some are available at lvl 21, not 23).
The +2 str is a bit of a nasty, but I couldn't repeat the another stat without breaking the concept. Hopefully there are enough non-fighter-type elves wandering around with their free weapon feats who'll want to use a longsword for melee :D
Hmm, just read the design concepts, not too shaby. You definately put a good amount of thought into the properties, though I still think the lawfull one would see the most use, but at least there is a good variety. Personaly I'd make each a different weapon instead of having them all as longswords, but that wasn't what you where aiming for so no worries there. Oh, as a minor side note, in that text file the properties of the +8 Astral Longsword would of been convienent.
Again, nicely done (and I rather enjoyed the descriptions).Wisprr The "Wild Card"
Hmm, I think I may like these, especially if they have good descriptions (which is what I primarly look for, since I almost always 'tweak' items to fit in with the power levels of my other items). The one thing that did stand out is the ability enhancements. 'Rules of Engagement' twould probably wind up being the most used of all of these weapons due to it's always usefull Strength enhancement (even mages like Str bonuses so they can carry more junk), while the three that enhance Int, Wis, and Cha twould probably see the least use since bodies that care about those abilities rarely use longswords. Anywho, I still love the concept, good job.Wisprr The "Wild Card"

The concept is good, and the swords are pretty cool, but they are way too powerful to be useful in my world. (at this stage)
