This is a compilation of the old system into a single score. There were 10 that made this score of 7.30 then rounded to 7.

This script is no longer being supported by me. It's well over a year old... But download it and try it out anyhow.

Keep um coming Xeno. Brair patces would be nice too if
thats possible. A major foilage Hak would be so cool.

As far as the shadows are concerned - mabey tone them down,
that way some of wont have to turn off enviroment shadows.

Love the work - good stuff!!! If you look at my latest hak
compilation your Hak is included. For all those interested
it should be up Friday or Saturaday. Look for it under the
title of Niz_X2

Almost done with the Tree HakPak, I currently have 27
different trees/brush, I'am going to add about 10-20 more
or so! Trees now fade away, and the more complex ones have
no shadows (to minimize lag). (I have 27 different ones in
an area, with 0 signs of lag!). I have problems converting
some of the textures to 512x512, though I imagine I'll
figure it out though!

Hey, xeno, I've been trying to get in touch with you. Could
you check either your nwnzone or hotmail accounts?

If for some reasons my emails didn't get through, could you
drop me a line?

Posted by TreeMan ( ..xxx.xxx ) at 2002-11-15 12:20:00
A tree and vegetation only hak would be great! Some more
grasses and shrubs are needed.

Posted by Xeno ( ..xxx.xxx ) at 2002-11-15 10:48:00
Or would you rather perfer I fix everything and add a
couple dozen or so more trees/vegetation, and just release
a tree HakPak?

>the pine tree it changes the placeable to the dead tree.

I had that happen a couple times, I wonder what causes
that?

Since everyone seems to like the HakPak, I'll rework the
textures and shut the shadows off and correct the tree
fade effects (by shrinking the base file?). I'll up a new
version here in a day or two!

Bloody amazing! Those trees look great, although their
sheer complexity limits their use. The sarcophagus and the
skull statue are splendid.

The only bug i can see is the middle finger of the
reliquary, which has a hole in it.

Thanks for the heads up Frog. :)

It was definitely enviroment shadows. Tuened them off and
it's back to normal now.

Just out of curiosity, are those of you running on P4's and
Geforce 4's (Power Rigs)having any slowdown at all when you
play with these model in game? You guys with comparable
machines as mine - how are you faring?

niz i hate to say this
but if you disassembled the dds textures like i have
you'll notice they are already SMALL TEXTURES
i don't even think one of them is 128x128
that and they are not ratio'd textures
some where 128x64
and so on
quite odd to be honest
i decided to make a summer and winter version of the large
tree and pine
since he had also supplied such textures
:D
the lag your seeing is because of the shadows
since there are so many poly's for the leaves the shadows
go nuts
if you turn them off your solved :D
i'm on a 1300 duron with geforce4 mmx 440
with 655 megs pc133 ram

Xeno,

First off let me congradulate you on your work, great
stuff. However I am having one problem ...

Any one of the trees when painted down, causes lag on my
machine (950 Mhz Geforce 3 ti 200)

I was wondering if you could possibly upload some low-res
textures for all of the trees so that I could put them in
the hak instead.

I've done this in the past with certain items in tilesets
and it has worked wonderfully. Don't know why I'm taking
such a hit with these trees, but sure enough, they bog it
down as long as you are near them in the game.

Anyway, I would like to thank you again, these models are
excellent.

Thanks,

Niz

Sorry, I forgot to mention that you have to open the
delivered module "_base" in the rar-file.

Posted by Sorphales ( ..xxx.xxx ) at 2002-11-14 19:40:00
Arriddrake: Same problem with the pine tree here, but when
you select a few other templates/appereances
under "properties" the right image appear.

Like in readme stated (:) ) To use the erfs you have to
load the module and click on the blueprints,
select "export" and save them to a folder. Then make a
module, select the hak-pack AND import the erfs. Now they
should appear under "custom 5" or so.

Hope that helps!

This is a great looking pack of placeables and I can see
them fine in the module that comes with the download. I do
not see any of these when I add the hak to a new module in
the custom objects. Also if I click on the properties of
the pine tree it changes the placeable to the dead tree.
Thanks.

Great placeable, Xeno! As good as the powder kegs...;)

The only thing I noticed is that the pine-tree fades a
little bit too early for me. First I came across and
wondered what that wooden spike is for before I recognized
that it is the stamp of a tree. When this is not too
complicated I would wish that in the next update the trees
fades out just before the player passes them. So you can
make ambushes with ranged weapons by thieves that hides in
the trees. The player just sees the flying arrows and their
destination...

But the overall-impression is great!

Yes I would like to, however I don't have any program that
would import the animation, that is way beyond what I can
do at this point. If you check around for a 3D Studio Max
4/5 .NOD import plug-in/script, then I'll be able to do it!

Hey these are nice. Are you planning on bringing anything
else over from Vampire MR. The werewolves would be ideal.

The link works but we're having some server problems. Try
again a few times and it should work and I've contacted tech
support.
