"Hey, Neverwinterian adventurers! Do you like stuff? Do you like to keep all--" Yeah, yeah, you've heard the pitch before. Now, let me ask you this: Do you desire a container with the stability of the Ring of Ethereal Storage, without its game-dampening side elements?
The Common Ring of Storage, as its name implies, is a simplified variation of the Ring of Ethereal Storage. There are no conversations to deal with, and there is no choice concerning the storage location of items, as the ring summons a single chest. The ring possesses no additional ethereal powers that can be passed to the PC, and its storage function can only be used once per day. Serious gamers may appreciate the CRoS package more than the Ring of Ethereal Storage, for the Common Ring of Storage is a less showy device and is less likely to grossly tip the balance of gameplay in the PC's favor.
The Common Ring of Storage package contains: the Common Ring of Storage Version 2.0 Readme.rtf, eight screenshots of the CRoS Package in action, and the CRoS.erf. The CRoS.erf contains the following eight files: cros_onac.nss, cros_pktche1.nss, pocketvault.are, pktvault1.utp, cros.uti, pktche1_close.nss, pktche1_open.nss, and pocketchest1.utp ------->[Note: I did not include other formats of the Readme file, due to time constraints. If you need a different file type, send a request to me and I'll see what I can whip up.]<-------
Another thought of content I can recommend that deals with inventory, although in different ways from my Ring packages - look up Wu's "Lilith - In-game explorer for single-player modules" and caesarbear's "Zorco's Keeps - A Persistent Waystation" for equally awesome item storage!

You should be able to open up the chest's inventory while your own inventory is open, and vice versa - the ring itself does not open any sort of inventory, those functions are tied to the chest (as is the "after you use it it is gone" scripted function).
As far as the ring's 1 use per day - I originally designed this ring to be a scaled-down version of my Ring of Ethereal Storage at nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=prefabs.Detail&id=442, and the once per day was originally decided to make the ring less spectatcular (the Ethereal Ring opens a conversation that allows a player to pick from 10 default chests) - I did not think that it would make it less useful or appealing. Mayhaps I will get some time and change that function to the unlimited one, just like the Ethereal Ring - now that you bring it up, it makes more sense.
As a side note, you can also check out my friend RustyDios' Item Storage Device at nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=Prefabs.Detail&id=1129 - his device uses a merchant function, and includes the dual inventory panels that you spoke of.

I think this is a very nifty idea for a module indeed! very nice work there. I like it a lot! :-)
It's a more easier way of carrying your belongings around when your inventory is a bit too full up, and even when "Bags Of Holding" take up too many slots on 1 page, (4 maximum I think) a ring is at a better advantage with 1 slot only. Great idea indeed!
Just a couple of questions if I may?
1)Can this ring be used to open a whole separate inventory, including the main one so that you can have two inventory's open at the same time, or not?
2) On the ring description page/box in one of your screenshots, you gave the ring a "unique power : self only" and set it to be used for "1 use/day."
For the number of NwN modules I have played in the past which used a special item in with this type of unique power, I always found 1 use/day to be quite annoying, because there would be a time when I really needed to use this special item for some specific reason and couldn't and was somewhat annoyed by it.
Couldn't you make an update to have it set to "Unique Power, Self Only : Unlimited Uses/Day instead?
At least then you could take something out from the storage you placed in without being forced to wait, particularly if you wanted to grab a rather important item.
I also found that with these special items with a unique power of 1 use/day, the only way I could activate it again once I'd used it, was to rest to be able to use it again, which was a bit of a nuisance I found. :-/

Just wanted everyone to know that I'm still here, still checking on all my uploads. I'm also working on a few projects which are nearing fruition, so that's exciting!
Still only two votes and three comments - have any of you who've downloaded the Common Ring actually used it? If not, I understand, because I'm the same way, sometimes not using an item until months after I've downloaded it. Recently, however, I've tried to get in the habit of leaving a comment whenever I download - it may not be a vote, but at least the package's creator knows that "I" was there, and not some nameless downloader.
If you have used the Common Ring, and have a coherent opinion of it, why not leave a vote, or even a comment? I don't want to sound like I'm begging for votes, but without that crucial community/user feedback, I'll never know what's wrong with my work, and how to improve it. And believe me, I plan to be around for awhile (and looking quite forward to the NwN Renaissance, too), so please help me make the best stuff that I can!

Great prefab. You've obviously put alot of work into, and it would fit into any fantasy mod.
