** Requirements: Nwn 1.67 and all expansions (SoU, HoTU, and CEP 1.53) **
Beneath the deepest waters in all the world, there lies hidden a great and
airy cavern in which Father Dagon... the eldest of the oldest gods of the
sea... once did hold court with his consort, Mother Hydra. After many ages have come and gone, the palace is now empty, it's occupants long departed. Only the air, generated by machines of some unknown science... and the water that has always been there... do there remain, as witnesses that any beings of great antiquity had once lived herein.
Few are they who have come upon this forgotten realm, even by chance, save for a half-drowned sailor or two... and fewer still have returned to tell of
what they saw below. Such tales have been considered fanciful sailor's yarns,
until now... for now you too may dare to enter... the Drowned Palace of Dagon!
This prefab was based loosely upon the undersea domains of the Deep Ones that
H.P. Lovecraft told of in his Cthulhu Mythos stories. Hope you like the look!
Contains a useful .erf for importing, and a demo mod to check the place out.
I'm glad you guys (and gals) mentioned the FPS genre, because my years playing games like Doom, Quake, Unreal and the like (Quake was my favorite back in the day, though) were a huge inspiration in the way I design some of my interior areas. I do try to keep the overall 3D effect in mind, and see things as much from the player's perspective as the builder's. I figure: if I wouldn't have fun in an area, why even build it? So I always try to, primarily, make some fun areas. As to my new project, currently I've been working on a 100% accurate re-creation of the city of Minas Tirith (within the limits of the toolset and CEP, of course), and it should be all finished either later today or tomorrow at which point I'll submit it to the vault. It's going to be based more on the LOTR books than the movies, though, as the movies didn't get everything right (though I loved them for trying). It will be my first LOTR submission for Neverwinter Nights. (Every builder for a fantasy-oriented game must tackle an LOTR/Middle Earth project of some kind at least once in his career! It is an unspoken rule, sort of. Lol.) Farewell for now, all, and remember: have fun!

Does kinda look like FPS, actually.

@ coreyh2
that was my thought after i got deeper into the area. i was thinking how much fun this would have been to skirmish in quake style combat. plenty of places to snipe, camp, and so on.

Super Sweet. I just looked at this because it had Dagon in the title. I didn't even think about making nwn area's look like that. It Reminds me of FPS levels.
Oh, thank you for your vote and post as well, Sharona! As I said, I tend to go for VERY detailed areas, so sometimes they can be a bit placeable-intensive. (Some more than others.) I try to think about what the work needs to be as true to realism (and my personal vision) as possible. Fortunately, it always seems to turn out for the best. (Largely due to the fact that I'm always trying to improve my building style as I go and come up with unusual ideas/concepts that folks haven't seen or thought of before.) I'm glad you liked this area once you walked around it a bit, by the way! Now, it's time for me to head off and start work on my next idea. Fare you well for now, eveybody!
Your praises are always welcome, Lauging One, as is your vote. Fear not, for I've still quite a bit more that I can post in the way of prefabs (I am coming up with new ideas almost daily, and whatever I build I always like to share). Also... I'm glad you like my particular building style! I tend to go for VERY detailed areas with equally detailed background stories. My next work will be different from this one, of course, but no less high quality. (I try to post nothing less than my best.) So keep a look out for more, and keep the spirit!

at first i found this one area module prefab to be confusing. but as i explored i got see what it was you were building. nice area. a little stressful in both the toolset and in-game but a well designed core.

-> Chaos,
This is EXACTLY why I anxiously await your work(s)! Excellent prefab! :)
I really like the blend of tile(terrain) and placeable(s) you use.
Your "style" w/ archways and such has started to influence the way I design my OWN areas now. I fear I may just stop designing my own if you keep these GREAT works coming!
Oh, and the concept behind this is way cool. The background story nicely explains the 'science tube' and "power crystals" in the ceiling. I like... :D
K... I'll stop the praises now, but DON'T stop sharing!
Cheers... _________________________ "From down here we can make the whole wall collapse."
