** Created for the PW AnchorDeep. This is all very straight forward, drop a Message Board found in Custom => Penants and Signs in the Placeable Pallette, in any area you want your players to have access to getting and sending messages. Once the boards are in the code handles the rest. There are a few Options you can edit in the file MB_INC. If you edit this file though you will have to do a full recompile of the scripts. Features this message board has: ** All found in the file MB_INC under Constants ** - Persistent messages - Flood Control to stop Spammers - You can Enable/Disable the showing of names - Players can delete there own messages - There is a language filter to catch 'BAD WORDS' - DM's can delete any post, board or the whole database from in game.

A very complete and efficient message board. Easy to work with as well. Long messages are a slight problem if they run long and go off your "talk" gui bar, but a minor issue since the message still will post.

Thanks man for this awsome script... I find it very usefull. Now I know I might be a pain in the arss, but I was wondering... I couldn't find enywhere scrip that can enable me to change my PC's name from within the game, eather from a conversation, or using a placebles or simply talking with someone, and then enter desairable name wit "enter" buton... So I was wondering, if you could make that script for me and post here a link to it, or something. Thanks anyway.

Oh Jeremy, like the idea of the swear filter, dont spose you feel like setting one up that works server wide, ie shout char names etc :D
This is a compilation of the old system into a single score. There were 17 that made this score of 7.88 then rounded to 8.

Call the speak sting command but selecting the correct string from the database may be tricky.

Also was wondering if there any way to set up the message board to show the words over the head. I am trying to set the magic mouth up so only a DM can program it what to say but and have it appear as flavor text over the head.

You have to be visible. Opps forgot to tell you that, listeners cant hear invisible creatures. Just click the Appear button in the DM Client and then speak. :-)

Hey...great script, thanks for posting it. I'am having one problem thou, I thought you may be able to enlighten me, since I'am a newbie scriptor. When I try to post on the DM board with my DM character it dosent get past "speak a title". Anyone having this problem or I'am just doing something wrong? Thanks again!

Turns out the zipped ERF had to many characters in the Filename. It worked fine you just had to shorten the name. But I have uploaded an updated ERF with a filename that will work fine.

- The conversation cant be interupted
- Added a DM board that is read only to players
- Made so tweaks to the "Bad Word" filter

Yes, if you post a local post it only posts to the board there viewing, if they post a global post it posts to all boards.
The menu is basically this:
Read Local Posts=>
Read Global Posts=>
There are more options of course but thats the basic idea. AnchorDeep is using 7 seperate boards so far, one for each of the main cities.

Does this has support for multiple bulletin boards, which would hold different messages depending on who posted on which boards? Looks like a good system.

The new update coming tomorrow or Saturday wont loop posts and also comes with a special DM board that you can put in the starting area. So players can read any special DM news for that day. Its is Read Only to the players.

With one post the looping is kinda annoying but its not really a factor in a PW. Since as soon as players see a message board where they can post. Theres allot more then 7 posts. You have to look at the big picture. And when you have a good number of posts the looping is allot more helpfull.

- When reading new posts it now shows the newest posts first
- When looking at posts to delete, the oldest show first

The posts auto loop, so once you hit the end of the posts it starts back at one. So if there is only one post it displays it 7 times, once your board has over 7 posts it doesnt. Or after two posts it would show 1 2 1 2 1 2 1
after three 1 2 3 1 2 3 1. And so on...
