(Not really a henchman, but if does follow you) A pack ox, similar to one posted recently. A bit better, I think. Your items are stored in its inventory, so killing it or picking its pockets gives the desired result. Ownership can easily be changed by abandoing it, charming it, killing the owner, or finding the ox while the owner is offline. Packed up nicely in an .erf file ready for importing. Documentation in the erf comment area. Once imported, just plop down oxen. Also includes a sample module.

I use the updated version but had to vote here too for such an easy to modify script. Thanks. _________________________ People react violently to fur rather than leather because it is easier to pick on rich chicks with bad taste than biker gangs.

Very nice system. Downloaded it for the Swordcoast PW the other day, and have upgraded it for CEP, to use the pack animal models that are included with CEP. We'll be posting the CEP version on the vault shortly, I think. Hope you don't mind we continued development of your spiffy script. :)

This is a compilation of the old system into a single score. There were 3 that made this score of 7.33 then rounded to 7.

I'd prefer to put the Oxen in their own faction that is neutral to all other factions (including the PC). Except perhaps wild animals.
Wow, this little script seems to be more popular than my Wild/Null magic system. Or maybe people just prefer to get that in the HCR. Whatever.

Nice work, but found that to get players to use it I had to
modify it as follows:
Wrote a script (OX-teleportaddon1.0) that would:
1) Teleport the Ox to a waypoint if attacked or damamged.
(players hated having tons of stuff to try to take with
them when the animal was killed, and it dies easily. Tried
making the Ox immortal, but then the players used the Ox as
bait and cheated! So I gave the Ox 150 hit points and this
script)
2) Ox will be healed upong arrival at waypoint and will
wait for owner. Equipment will be intact.
3) If player accidentally hits Ox, Ox will still teleport
to waypoint but will not consider player an enemy. Ox will
always see it as an accident.
The script does not replace the original work by Lex, as
its placement in the creatures script slots are different.
Don't forget to make the waypoint.
