This new system has less scripts and is much easier to install. These scripts allow for a pc or dm to write letters or notes within game with the use of a scribe. The message is stored on the letter with the SetLocalString() function. Once the note is written, it can be used to read the stored message. Now includes a Reading Animation for effect. ;)
This is a compilation of the old system into a single score. There were 12 that made this score of 9.17 then rounded to 9.

Umm.. ignore the part about it including the reading animation. Tested it and it didn't show up. Everything else works great though.

Everyone in my mod was happy to see this new mailing system. To bad it does not fully work. If your not going to fix it why not just make a smaller script where you can just wright messages on the notes to pass on from player to player. I use it when Im on as DM to set up personal quest just for that person with there name on it. Helps make it fell more life like for the players. So if you dont want to fix part of this script would someone eles please try to fix it and post it here that they got it to work and how or set it up as a down load named working mailing system : )

Hm.. Well, at least the writing part works for now. >_< I just came back from a vacation, so sorry for the lack of updates...

Ideas that don't involve me having to find a way around this:
-If its a PW, have PC mailmen/mailwomen. Then it'd be more realistic anyway..
-Forget about the sending part.. you already have a cool thing to let player scribble notes on.
Thats about it for now. Maybe Bioware will come out with a better CopyObject() function. Don't know why it isn't working now. It did when I tested it.

I'm having the same trouble as the last person; mail can be written, boxes personalized, but when attempting to send with the mailbag, conversation ends and letter is still in the writer's inventory. I'd love to know if there's a fix for this, or even a work-around.
Thanks for a great script.

Great.. CopyObject() won't work when sent to a placeable's inventory. :|

I'm going to remake the system using the CopyObject function. I'm not sure if this one will work in 1.30, I didn't test it.

I tried using this module out of the zip file, and it wasnt working, the letter writes out fine and deposits into my inventory, but when I go to the drop bag and choose which po box i want to send the letter to the conversation ends, the letter is still in my inventory, and the po box i chose is empty. Any ideas on how I can fix this? This looks like an awesome module, and i plan to use it if I can get it to work :)

In your normal onactivate script, add ExecuteScript("mailscript's_onactivate", GetLastItemActivator());
Hope that helps.
