Description
PLAYER RIDEABLE BOATS (PRB) INTRO: I have seen a lot of systems being made where people have wanted the illusion of riding a boat to the destination and not just click the boat or npc and go to where your going.. You may as well just set up a area transaction and have them walk though so what I have done is made a system where you ride a boat to where your going. HOW IT WORKS: The player buys a ticket to where they are going then they go and wait in a dock area. At a specified time (set by the builder) the boats will come. A small boat will come to the area and pick up the players and then transaction them to a bigger boat where they will ride that boat for a time till they reach the destination there is a readme file included please read it for more info.. if you use the self install program then there will be a copy of the readme in your modules folder if you just unzip it and use the zip the readme is there aswell.sp

OK This just aint working for me. Every time I enter the docks area, my computer freezes and I am getting very annoyed. I think its because the Onenter script on the area is doing something funny, but I dunno. Plz help.

hi everyone refers to a "tansition" as a transaction a transaction is a exange of currency a transition is a hop from one area to the next so to save ne confusion what do u mean by tansaction?.

ya i saw that but i did not like it so resently i desided to do my own system i think in some ways mine is better as in it will only take peeps with tickets and you dont have to be in a (dock area) for say you can make your whole city dock a and only take peeps with the ticket and such

and in some ways that one is better like you can got to more than one place for right now mine only goes from point a to point b and back to a loop

and MINE DONT REQUIRE A HAK PACK :) like i keep saying the hak was put in for looks becase there in no placable boats the only boat i know of is the tileset boat and i wanted a placeable :) you dont have to use the hak just load up the scritp prb_include and change the boats tag and res/ref in th there to whatever you want it to be any placeable in game :) if you wanted to here is how it works

your standing at a dock when time comes a boat and caption spawn the caption says whatever you tell him to then he and the boat despawn a few later sending you to sea where you are on a big boat then get droped wherever

now if you wanted to (and you cant think of a placable that will look good for the small boat and dont want to use the hak just leave the small boat tag and res/ref area in the include file blank and only the caption will show up then in the at sea area instead of useing a gallon just place down the city or rual tile set boat in the area to be the at sea boat

THE what will happen is the cap will show up at the dock say his line a few later you are on the (TILESET) boat in your atsea area then a few more droped off at dock b (that dont have to be just a dock area it can be a wide open area with npcs and all... ALL without the use of the hak

how about some feedback guys and gals this is named alfa for a reasion i plan on adding more to it mabie the ability to make the 1 boat go to more than one place.

i want some sugestions here so i know what to do with this if i dont get fead back i will figer everyone likes it the way it is and it does not need any changes :)

Forgot to change the time in the module to 2 mins. Its set to 1 min every hour. This will make the timing off. PLease set the game time to 2 mins per hour in test module to see correct timing.

This does not actually does not require a hak. I just used hak for looks. The hak can be removed and any placables can be used in the boats places. All the hak does is add placeable boats and Gallions. You can use any item for these.

Cool idea, I like the idea of ferries only leave at certain times thats cool.

How about one that doesnt need a hack file.
