Title  TP - Binding System

Description
TP - Binding System This is a binding system similar to the one used in HotU. Through an item, it calls a conversation, and allows the PC to place a bind point wherever they wish. Through the conversation, the PC can teleport back to the bind point whenever they wish. *Note* Cannot be used during combat. Also included is a home waypoint for the PC to teleport back to the original choice of the module designer. The bindings are permanent in single player, as long as the game is saved. I have not tested multiplayer support yet. Henchmen, Familiar, and Animal Companion are teleported with the PC. Right now there is no party support. If this system does well enough, I will update the system with party support. Included is a walkthrough on how to add more bindings to the system for the new scripter. It's a basic tutorial for anyone who doesn't know how to script. It's very, very, very noob friendly. Any questions can be e-mailed to: [email protected]

Thanks so much for this, I had know idea how to get a town portal working in my mod, this was easy to use and pretty much did the work itself. Made the difference between me making a mod and giving up.

Rigel,

With this system, you have 5 binding points the PC can place. Anywhere in the mod the PC wants to put a binding point. So, yes, you can open more than one. There is one waypoint the mod designer can place so the PC can teleport back to. More binding points, and waypoints can be added. I added the waypoint to teleport back to a "home" location, so the PC doesn't have to use one of the binding points they are given. If you want the PC to use one of their waypoints at the "home" location, take out the line in the conversation saying "I want to teleport to the death temple. This is the line in the conversation where the PC teleports to the waypoint placed by the mod designer. I hope that makes sense. If you look at the file you download, it's tp_binding system_2. I uploaded the first version to the vault, which had additions that needed to be made. See the readme included for what changes I made. So, in essence, this is the second version that you are downloading. Included is a walkthrough of how to add another binding point. For a new scripter it might be a little tough, but I walked through it with the new scripter in mind. Let's rate this one. I spent a lot of time, and would like to know how I did. Never underestimate the power of the tutorial

Mmmh, thanks. Does it still allow you to open more than one portal? That was my only beef with this lovely looking script before that. I'm downloading anyway.
