This is a system that will allow players to customize the looks of their gear while playing on your server/module with out staff or DM intervention; it was originally developed for the persistent world Imperial Dusk and has been in use for many weeks now. Ive received several requests to publish this collection of scripts for other servers to use and so, here it is. Necrosious July 21 2004: Update to include shields of all sizes.

Cheers Necrosious!
Good work and of course I'm going to continue using your work! Thanks for the effort!

Don't give a 10 that often! The script does what I want it to and runs as smoothly as a swiss watch! Hats off!
Cheers

I've added your crafting system to ROS (Realms of Shargast)and I'm in the process of testing it. Will vote and give you credit (in my PW) if I decide to keep it running. Looks good though and the scripting is Gibralter-like, as in rock solid. Cheers Sai aka Shargast _________________________ Realms of Shargast V1-V5ab, LOTR V15, The Undeath Clave & Faithful of Aerth

Just what I needed to make that tailor shop for my mod, thanks!
Yes, it's possible to rebuild the scripts into a non-CEP version, all it takes is time.
Top part of Katanas not working? I'll look into it and put an update inplace soon.
And yes.... the CEP shields have been included in the system now. There are two models left out, one with a magic spark effect, and a semi-transparent crystal shield type thing, both are easy to integrate back into the system.

Excellent system, great work and huge help. However (=/), though I haven't looked into it, I was wondering if anyone else found any weapons appearances not changing when asked to? My katana's top part won't change when I use the option, nothing happens at all. Everything else I've tried so far has worked however. Good job.

Is it possible to do this without using CEP?
We are very reluctant to add CEP as a requirement to our PW, but would like a few more options for our players above the default Bioware crafting options.
(and yes, we know they're exploitable... checks are in place ;) )
At this time shields are the only item that can not be modified, I'm working to get them included into the system.
Stay tuned for an update near you!

Necrosious's Item Customizer Golem was an absolute hit when he brought it in to our Persistant World of Imperial Dusk.
It's far more convenient for the DMs to have this tool, as it no longer requires them to import customized gear for the Players.
It's an absolutely astounding tool for the Players, because we no longer need DM involvement to change our look. Furthermore, it saves us the time of waiting for our new gear, and we can change our appearance on a whim.
Kudos, Necrosious. This this is like a chunk of art.

Or does anyone know how to change them on the fly?
