This is a complete set of item appearance changing scripts designed for the less hardcore role-playing crowd in mind. A work-in-progress version of these scripts were included in JenX 2.2 by Jenova. This is the final and complete version of those same scripts. These scripts allow for a player to change the appearance of their armor, weapons, helms, and shields, without having the roll a craft check or paying any cost. The scripts are designed so that the player has control over their appearance, so that every player can choose how they look. The clothing crafting scripts are written for JenX 2.2 ONLY. If you wish to use these scripts in a module that does not use JenX 2.2, then you will have to modify the scripts accordingly. There is a readme file included with the script package that explains more.

I have no idea what would lead you to think this, and I find it a touch rude. Why would anyone with a good character background appear in drab clothes that don't reflect thier story? Guh. _________________________ Link

Do you update this scripts for 1.68? Now, you can modify cloak.
I'm wondering if you wouldn't be so kind as to list the actual lines of the zep_inc_craft as the scripts I have (unedited) do not show anything on the lines you indicated accept instructions and descriptions of what the following script lines functions are for. I've tried to bring the DC and Cost to 0, but it won't accept this when I try to compile the script.

I love this system, but have one request. Is it possible to modify the script so that it gives one access to the CEP models for weapons? I play on a PW server that uses it, but does not have that available.

I was able to download your file and inport the ERF file into may CEP starter module but what am I supposed to do with all these scripts now?
There is no Directions on what scripts are soppsed to do what----I assume that some of these scripts are supposed to go in a conversation for modifying equipment but it is not obvious. Could you please send me a mod that uses this script in a CEP module and NOT in whatever JenX 2.2 is.
If this script can only work with this JenX 2.2 then please so inform us so we dont bother with it.
Hi, this is something I implemented in my PW world by a small change to the zep_inc_craft file that was imported for cep crafting. Thought I would mention it here as it is a bug free way of allowing chars to change armour for either no gold, no DC or the gold and DC of your choice. I haven't looked at how you have done it with your script so I can't say whether it is better or not, just mentioning as someone previously mentioned making free crafting for cep. I can say that our players liked this change and we got lots of different looks. It doesn't change the cost or DC of trap making to the best of my knowledge.
To make changes DC and price just modify the following lines in zep_inc_craft - the numbering should be pretty close unless you have made other changes to that script.
//blocked out lines 583 - 661 and set gold price to 0
//blocked out lines 674 - 731 and set DC required to 0
we also use the universal tailoring models and universal dye kit created by Milambus Mandragon and made similar changes to the cost required for changes.

A very useful and well-executed system. Thanks!

I suppose there isn't any chance of finding a version of this for a mod that is only using the CEP?

The point of posting bugs is so the creator can fix them.
Good System, Lilista. I'll be using this. _________________________ It is by caffeine alone I set my mind in motion, it is by the beans of Java that thoughts acquire speed, the hands acquire shaking, the shaking becomes a warning, it is by caffeine alone I set my mind in motion.

(Oops, seems I originally posted this on the voting list. I hope I did it right this time.)
Fantastic. Utterly fantastic. While clearly not for every module, for what its intended for, this is marvelous. Right down the details like the option to alter symettrical clothing parts at the same time.
I found two bugs I'd like to report.
The first is that when altering a staff, when altering the middle section, after the last selection, it doesn't loop back to the first one. In fact, it causes the staff to vanish entirely.
The second may have just been an oversight. The "dark metal" colors for weapons (usually color number 4, I believe) are missing entirely. When adjusting weapon colors, you only get the bright steel, gold, and copper.
Anyhow, beautiful work!
