Here are 11 new Listeners for the building community!
But first, what a Listener is, for the uninitiated: A Listener is a NPC who catches what a PC "says" when he uses the chat-bar. The string, which can be a word or a sentence, is then processed, and if it matches what the Listener has been set to listen for, a script will cause something or other to happen. The classic example is the Listener who opens a door when someone says "Open Sesame".
These Listeners have all been made to be as user-friendly as possible. Each of them can be configured via the Variables page in their properties, so there is NO requirement for the scripter to know ANY SCRIPTING whatsoever. If you can open the properties page of an NPC, then you can use these Listeners!
Included are Listeners that give you a complete Prayer System, a new Teleportation System, and even a Listener that allows PCs to kiss each other in Multiplayer or on a PW.
There is a demo, showcasing all the Listeners. Do try it out, because it will take you less than 10 minutes to check it all out.
@MyKiara Oh, I still check out this site on a regular basis, allthough not necessaruily every day! ;) It should be done with a script, but it is not particularly difficult. It would be helpful to know some more details first, though. You can send a message to the PC or make him/her speak something above his/her head. (E.g: "This seems to be the place where the secret portal is hidden"). It is also good to know whether this is for a SP module or a PW, since the scripting is a little more involved in the latter case. Cheers! :)

It's been awhile since there were any posts here but I am hoping maybe you can answer a question for me. I would like to use a listener as a hidden door type thing to transport rogues to their underground guild. However, how hard would it be to make it so the listener actually picks up a nearby member of the guild and whispers to them so they know where that door is located if they have never been there before? Havent looked at script yet so not sure if it's just setting up convo or not. Thanks!

As with any previous work I have had the priveledge of either testing or implementing, nereng's work is always top notch and well documented, are you other "DEVELOPERS" listening here? Making a good program is always appreciated, but writing out good documentation and instructions on how to best use it makes all the difference. And I see Ghostdreamer is skulking about as well, one of the best scripters and most helful people you will find as well. Between these two, if they lived anywhere near me and my company, they would be here working for me all ready. Are you listening Bioware? You should be. As always nereng, nice job.

When I first adked if something like this could be done, You were there to fill me in on your "gift". After viewing the potential this little gem has, it was way more than I expected. Thsi is one heck of an awesome tool that can potentially add so much flavor and style to any mod design. Kudos to you nereng. Take a deep bow.

It's great to see stuff like this that can not only be used, but also be understood by those of us who are a little script shy. Sparks the imagination too. :) _________________________ View my blog regarding the Relbonian Chronicles project --> Link

nereng, To all fellow moders, scripters, players and the like, this work is top notch as is all of nereng's work. Are you listening Bioware? If you are not you should be, this is someone you definitly should have on staff. I will be implementing this little jewel in many aspects of my new mod, nope no spoilers, just have to wait and see what it is I am up to. :o)

Stunning piece of Scripting. Shame the ratings only go up to 10. _________________________ Stuff I've done.
