I got the idea from Oxen Trade Routes. Basically I wanted a NPC to give your PC a contract to make, find or craft X (1 - 20) of X (What ever you want). Bring them to him and gain a Reward of Gold and XP at the end. So if you run CNR and you want to you could set up a NPC to buy certain Items from your Players (to get them out of play). It can be as Random as you want it. I have provided Documentation. Provides an alternative to just having shops buy any thing and everything. Rewards are based on Gold Value of the item.

ty wombatswife, I think that has something to do with it as well, but I do have one that is food_29 that is doing the same as well....I'll keep grinding away on it and eventually find the answer ( like a year tracking down everything wasn't enough)
I think I figured out the problem with the quests only offering 15s instead of the full name of the item. I was told that the max character length for tags/resrefs was 13. From looking at my setup it is the items with tags longer than 13 characters that are not showing up. Although I haven't tried renaming anything to check this yet, I am still designing a new naming system. _________________________ aka Wibble Woble the Third (don't ask!!)

OK...I need some help, have the system set up but some of my quest request come up Need 15 s. it won't show the item name. Anyone now the system well enough to tell me how to fix it, I still say this system is a must for UOA crafters, or any crafting system really, online or offline.
I have a UOA Demo Mod set up with the system if someone wants to see the error and help me and a few others I have spoken to that have the same bug.

Delete that last post....finnally found it after looking for so long :) variable on the NPC...god I am having a bad year.
I love the system, want so much to give it a higher score, but needs more documentation for the noobs, or idiots like me :)

dumb questing.....where do I find the Vendor_Type so I can change it...been looking all over for it. I got the tems changed for the UOA, but I need different vendors, Ithought I knew what I was doing but I don't :)
I want to try to get at least 5 to 10 different people with wanting different sets of things, but I can't have a blacksmith asking for food supplies when he should be after ore and iron, maybe even tools. if that makes sense.

Anyone know if anyone has tried to modify this to work with the UOA?

If anyone is looking... I have been trying to add items from CNR to the quest items with no luck. The Givers will talk to me but they don't list any choices. I have added the new name "CutGems" in the Giver variables and made the list of "CutGems" items in the appropriate script. Anyone have a clue as to what else needs doing?
By the way, I really like this.

With a few small changes and a little better documentation this file would easily be a 9/10 and a candidate for the hall of fame imho. - Rusty69

This things is pretty cool. I have a few suggestions though:
- In the MS Word document under option 1 where you mention the Vendor_Type variable, it may be helpful to some of us lesser talented NWN creators if you mention that the variable can be set on the merchant by selecting the variables button. This was not obvious to me at all and I stumbled upon it by accident.
- When a vendor issues a contract for 16 non-stackable items and you can only deliver these items one at a time, it can be very tedious. At the very least it would be nice if the vendor would search the PC's inventory and take all the items it can to satisfy the contract. To make this situation even better, the vendor could ask the PC how many items it wishes to deliver or go in the inventory and count the number of items the PC has and then prompt the PC as to whether or not is ok to take the number required or the number in the inventory.
I think these two small changes would make this resource much better as a whole. Either way, this has saved me a lot of work and I appreciate it. Thanks.
