Description
Have you ever placed an invisible projectile trap (to look like darts are firing out of walls) only to be disappointed when it only hits the PC when it rolls a 20 because the PC already has an AC of more than 20 and placeables cannot have any Base Attack Bonus? Well here is a relatively simple, if not slightly involved way of solving this problem.

There is a way to make the trap invisible to tab-key highlighting, just add the following lines to the On Spawn hook for the trap creature:-

effect eInv=EffectVisualEffect(VFX_DUR_CUTSCENE_INVISIBILITY);
ActionDoCommand(ApplyEffectToObject(DURATION_TYPE_PERMANENT, eInv, OBJECT_SELF));

This makes the trap creature invisible to tab-key highlighting.


effect eImmob = EffectCutsceneGhost();
ApplyEffectToObject(DURATION_TYPE_PERMANENT, eImmob, OBJECT_SELF);

This allows the PC to pass through the trap creature so the PC doesn't know anything is there due to the PC's pathfinding not being altered.

You can see the name of the trap in blue with tab-key highligthing, this disappears after a few seconds as you know, but you still cannot interfere wuth the trap placeable.

Having said that I then loaded in a mage and threw some area effect spells in its general direction and the name went red, so I had better change that bit about making them plot after all.
