This package is intended for those, who run PW modules and want to implement hardcore style death where player goes to Fugue Plane instead of Dying. When a player dies he leaves actual body of the person who died, by creating player's copy and putting it in the place where he or she died. It looks much more realistic that way. The main HCRXx functionality is still retained. That means you still can move corpses from place to place or drag it to cleric. I'd like to thank both authors of NPC Lootable corpses and Player Lootable corpses packages from which I withdrew my ideas. * Changes: in release 0.22 I made it HotU compatible, bt I beleive there is a backwards compatibility at least for scripts.
I am having problems with the 24b version with the ressurect scroll. I can not seem to make it work. Even the demo has problems ressurecting a player. Can someone help?

As a note I would like to say that I mainly target scripters and developers audience in this release. Therefore do not expect that every little thingie is carried by the included *erf file. I do NOT wish to threaten the people who did not have enough time to invest in learning how to script well. However consider yourself warned, so it won't be a source of further disappointments.

Hey bushidov- try building your mod- compile all the scripts at least. Changes made in the scripts will take hold

I did not quite realize the community is still interested in this matter. I am updated my new version of the script, where I rewrite much of the code. Although I tested it pretty taugh, some people whom I shared this code with still saying it does not resurrect players in some cases. I would really appreciate some feedback for this release. I will update documentation ASAP. Thank you for interesting in my scripts.

I'm Referring to Rujin's question and 3fingers' answer.
DROP_LOOT=FALSE
This doesn't do anything. Changed it, and I still lose everything, and it drops it to the corpse. All I want it to do it drop the corpse where I died and drop money in the corpse's inventory. No Items should be lost. Now, how do I really do this? Reason why I'm asking is because I have Salandra's ATS installed, and if something takes my Journal away, I lose all my tradeskills aka some reason, losing journal = disconnecting from database.
Need Help. Thanks.

Great work dude but... ihope you can uptade this, adding two basic things:
1) add the possibility to cast a ressurect spell on death corpse,
2) add the raise dead effect on the corpe when a player ressurects.
i think that with that simply additions it will be a really great script, do you?
Hope you will answer :)

Do you have anything in the module even OnPlayRespawn? That might be your problem.

Just wonder if someone can give me a few hints on what I might have wrong. Everything seems to be working perfectly accept when a player tries to respawn via the portal conversation much like in the demo they dont. Running a few checks in the RessurectPlayer function it is nevet entering the if(GetIsObjectValid(oCorpse) || getIsObjectValid(oCleric) section. The player has a corpse. It appears to be labelled correctly, the resref references are correct, there is a cemetary waypoint at which I see the "near death" copy of the player and so on. But still they dont rez and that if conditional never holds true. Anyone?

dude, just open the inc_ad_corpse script
and set DROP_LOOT=FALSE

The documentation is prety vague. I was hoping you could tell me where I can disable the function that drops everything the player has on death. All I want is the corpse with the corpse item in it's inventory with no bags or item loss. Is this possible with this sytem?

Hi there, I'm quite interested in this script, but here in Germany HOU wasn't released untill now.
Do you have a SOU compatible version of this script, or an idea how to import it into a SOU Module?
´2nd...
It makes PC corpses lootable, Monsters as well?
I would be glad to get some links, maybe by mail?
Greetings and thanks
Maximus

So, here is it. I checked on my 1.59 version of NWN and it works perfecly smooth. I understand it might be a bit of a complicated package. But it really the most CPU conserving way as it is. However I consider making an alternative release. Much easier to use and without limbo areas or additional objects created in game (Much CPU expensive as well).
Ahh you must endeavor to make it so, for HotU is vital to my conquest of the NWN gaming community, and for this to be part of my glorious, epic campaign it....must...comply >:) _________________________ PW Action Server:

That is the second, bugfixed release of my package.
I'd like to note that it is not compatible with Hordes of Undedark. Yet.

I realize that there are seweral bugs in my first release still persist, so I will be posting second, revised version with major bugfixes and sample module included.

Perhaps if yours could be used by those that don't use HCR, then it would be different even moreso.
It however is still good bit of scripting, keep up the good work.

I did not know that, the only thing I noticed that most of the public PW modules like Nordock drop an ugly placable to simulate player's corpse. I wrote this for my own PW module and decided to share it here. I am glad that someone else had already fixed this issue before me but I am to offer an alternative script.

FYI this is already part of HCR3.0 and HCR3.1
