Description
8 templates and 64 subraces and races all adapted from Monster Compendium 3.5 I & II and III. Subrace System, with a lot of new features like the right appearence and special abilities.
Originally basedon Coldblade System, now include a lot of different and new features, like personalized abilities and hides for negative abilities.
If u have any problem, suggestion or request, just drop down a message, I'll try to do my best to solve/add it.
Thanks to everyone that tested and will test the script, and thanks for your patience, cause I have really not a lot of time to work around this script :-)

I really enjoy this system, seen it used on AschbournePW and in the Calimshan (Same mod really) and I am using it on Liffe (which is done but only posted from time to time to search for bugs)

Please Disreagard the email I sent...my userdefine script was mis-spelled :)

but would love to see an upsated version. and for any model builders, when are we going to see male pixies?

The best and easiest subrace system i have found yet. also has a large number of built in subraces. keep up the good work, i will be using this in my PW crimson shadows. as i get any bug's i will post them here to keep you updated. awsome work again :)

hi there :)

Question...I'm setting up the Vampire subrace using someone elses scripts, how do I set up the ECL for them without adding stat changes for them under your scripts or even coldblades?

BTW great set of scripts, love the new subraces, I am planing on adding everything from the savage spicies book and a few of the other monster books....it might get done by the time NWN3 comes out though :)

can you send me a step by step file on how to implement a new subrace, i am a novice scripter at best, and I just want to activate the null nodes for shifter and warforged for my eberron server

I got a quick question...well maybe not quick but here goes....

I followed the instructions on installing to the letter. I currently run HCR as well. All the special creature items work...like minotaur rage and all that, only thing that I cannot get to work is the abilities do not apply to the characters for some reason. My question is this...what are the scripts that control that and what should I be looking for? I am pretty new to scripting with aurora, I know C++ which helps. Anyway, I tried for like 4 hours last night and just kept making no progress.

One problem i've noticed is that at times you loose your stats. When you use an AT, or Port to another Area, all but the heartbeat effects vanish and you have to relog to get the other stats back.

it's quite strange...
did u add the ExecuteScript("_cb_XXX", OBJECT_SELF); line to your module event scripts?
Try to check them again, otherwise send me the module... I'll give it a look :-)

Hmm, I've added this into my new module and everything *except* the creature appearance seems to be working. For example, if I choose pixie as a subrace, I enter the game and never get changed to the pixie model. I even tried this with the demo modules that came in the archive and it didn't work. I get all the racial bonuses, etc, but the appearance never changes.

To see if I was going nuts, I tried a different subrace demo module, chose pixie in that one and was changed into the pixie, so I'm sure it's not my nwn install (all expansions, v1.66, CEP 1.51).

Help! It's the only thing keeping me from using this.

Awesome subrace system, pretty simple to install even on the most complicated of servers. Easy to edit/add the subraces with minimal scripting skill if desired.

Ok guys, finally I uploded a new revised version of this scrip, It doesn't have all the monster compendium 3 races, but I corrected some of the old bad bug :-)

btw, the number after the return express the ecl, if u lower it u wil get more xp, in a serwer like yours, ecl maybe useless, just change them all to 0 to get rid of the ecl script...
I didn't check/made, the ecl script, when I'm finished with the MC3 Update I'm gonna check that script too:-)

Sorry again leo, really busy this weeks, but tomorrow I'll have a day off...
I think the best way to mod the xp of my subrace is to set a different value after each return at the end of each "subracenamepos" session subrace in _cb_subrace script
the bugs about items were corrected, thanks to your testing again :-), I'm working on other things and I hope to finish it tomorrow, if u really need the file I can email the one not finished yet with just some of the MC3 update. I'ts not complete but things noticed by u are ok in it.
Continue to tell me if u find any bug, I always accept any kind of help/comment
excuse me again for the delay... too many exams :-(

Well i updated and well there is no change, the items still dont work, players are complaining about it, and there not useing the subraces because they dont work, so sadly i think i will be most likely useing skins or something something without scripts,

the scripts you have are advanced and all, and agreat base to them but i can not configer it the way i need it, and the special items just are not working.

ill keep comming back ever so often to see if you have made changes hope you do,

Ok well today is 27/04/05 and i see the file has been updated the 25/04/05 so ill be downloading and updateing that tonight when i get home from work,

yes thats right, im at work, lol,

well i hope the updates will change alot, just one more thing, with the xp gain and such, i have allready a xp system, could you tell me in your scripting where to find the xp reductions and how to change it to suit my settings, because players get very little xp in my world 1xp per creature 6 if its very chaleging, so a half dragon never gets xp, because he needs like 20 xp just to get 1,

so can you let me know where to find the config for all that, would help ALOT as players are complaining about subraces because it's impossibel to level.

im not sure if the files have yet been updated, but allso i noted thats the stats, for the half celest the minus does not show, if there is one, and they dont get a minus to there xp, also, the stats for the Drow, where off after a while, it might have allready been fixed but im not sure,

An addition that would be nice is, if the subrace is of a hgue form ( giants, mino's etc ) the ycan equip two-handed weapons as a single weapon, meanign giants and minos could duel wield scythes.

How about making it so the correct portrait goes with the correct subrace?

Ahhh great news, you know i think i found another, subrace kit that actually could place wings, i had it on the server for a while but it was complettly useless, way to many buggs, pluss the system wasnt for me, but they had wings, and a really nice set up for how to do it, ill search around for it, and post it here for you, that way you can use there scripting :) credit for them off course, ill look around for it, i think i have it on my system some place.

By the way if possible when you get the updated file im looking forward to it, could you send it to my email address, i will send you an email,

carnt wait for the update.

Hi Leo, thank you for the testing, I corrected the mistake of Celestial/Half-Celestial, it was a problem with the testagainstpattern function...
The problem of firebreath is solved too.
The only thing that remain is the one concerning wings:
it is impossible for what i know, or searched around to add wing via scripting to PC, it must be done or with a hakpack or with some external tools for char creating.
I tried and liked NWNExtender downloadable from the vault.
It works on servers too, without ani difficult procedure.
I'm gonna upload the new corrected file as soon as I finish with the MC3 monster addition (couple of days I hope :-))

What i mean is the possitive effects do not stay 100% they are there 98% and they fade and come back, just read my post and it was not very clear, :)

Actually about the HALF-DRAGON subraces i was just comming to report that they do not work. First problem is the Breath weaopen, and then the second thing is none of the characters have wings, im not sure if this is on purpose or not, perhaps its something i am missing ? not sure, but normally a HALF-DRAGON should have wings no ? or perhaps they get them at a higher level, ? and for the subrace HALF-CELESTIAL the possitive effect where off, im not sure if this is on purpose or not, and also no wings,

idillicus we have been testing the subraces, and we are finding hardly any problems, i am trying to test one at a time, great work.

I found that it wasn't a problem with dragonkin(not supposed to hawe breathweapon...), but with halfdragon breath weapons...
It wasn't working for some reason...
Tonight I will upload the updated working script with all those things fixed...

I added those two in elves Subraces just for simplify some scripting :-) Sorry, I Think Now with the new version I can move them to human...
