This system allows your player character to adventure with extra companions made from your other player characters. So your favourite characters can work together as a party.
There is provision for keeping your companions in a database so you can develop the party as you move on from module to module and story to story.
There is a special temple ritual for converting companions back into player characters so you can rotate the leadership of your company.
Everything works in-game using override files. No HakPaks. No debug commands. No external file editors. No fixes to modules. Just Install and Play.
It works with NWN, SoU, HotU, Bioware Premium Modules and many, though not quite all, community-written modules.
Requires NWN+SoU+HotU
Supports both English and Polish versions of NWN
Compatible with (but does not require) CEP
For installation and getting-started guide, please view the docs\OHS_README.html file included in the download.
The current download is V1.6.1a for NWN Patch 1.69
If you are still running game version 1.68, you should use OHS Version 1.5.3
If you are updating from V1.5.3 to V1.6.1, you need not update the database files but you must use the new version of the OHS Way of Heroes module.
Changes in V1.6.1
Companions will be able to ride horses in modules that provide them using the X3 horse system.
Formation keeping has been changed to make space for mounts and there are three new chat commands OH1, OH2 and OH3 to change formation.
For details of these changes, please see the updated OHS Players Guide
POSSIBLE SPOILERS IF YOU HAVEN"T PLAYED THE OC SoU!!! ... ... ... ... Wow- I had three henchmen, all in their own voicesets asking me to wait, hold on, stop and let me speak with them... it was really bizarre.(And intriguing too!) Never did figure out why, although it was clearly tied to a very specific floor trigger, since it always happened in precisely that spot in the hallway, just before the final battle with Morag. I'd begun to assume it was because they wanted to level up, thoughI couldn't get anywhere at that point to rest and didn't want to roll back as far as my previous save. If there's no dialogue available for that, then my latest discovery may intrigue you as it has me: In the caravan in the first chapter of SoU, my OHS bard stopped me, and said he was troubled, that there were voices in his head- many voices all speaking at one time. My only response option was not to worry about it- but of course, I couldn't fail to! And all this shortly before encountering the Formians. If it's a bug, then it's awesome. If it's a compatability issue with something else in my OR, no less awesome! It only makes me wish they had a lot more to say! :D _________________________ "There's no religion but time motion- No religion, just tribal scars."

@Kaotiqua - Thanks for the vote. I think you must have some other hak or override that is causing that problem. The OHS is completely compatible with the OC and there is nothing in the OHS henchman dialogues that can possibly allow them to say that they want to talk to you. So that must be coming from somewhere else. _________________________ [OHS Henchman System] [CTP Tilesets] [CleanModels 3.2]

I vote 10 because OHS rocks NWN completely, despite some fairly small and avoidable bugs. I'm running through the OC- I know I know- technically not compatable, but it seems to be working quite well, except, just before I get to Morag's lair, all my henches start telling me they need to talk to me. I tried to speak to them and find out what was up, but got the normal "yes- what is it?" dialogues, as if they hadn't said anything at all. I'm completely out of my wits now, because I want to know what they wanted to say! *LOL* _________________________ "There's no religion but time motion- No religion, just tribal scars."

Hi! I used to be using this system in normal difficulty setting but now trying to use this in DD Hardcore setting. In hardcore setting, area effects may harm party members. So, when I have a spellcasting henchman, he may damage my PC or other henchmen. Then, when a henchman hurts another henchman, the damaged henchman starts to attack the another. Eventually kill him. Can I somehow stop this to happen? And another problem. After a spellcasting henchman was killed in this way, I healed him via potion. But now he is just standing and does not follow the PC nor attack enemies. I cannot talk to him either. Can I somehow recover his state?

This is my first time trying to use one of my own PCs as a henchman, and I'm having a problem with him. My party consists of the PC I'm playing, one of the pre-generated BioWare PCs (Aluvian Darkstar), and one of my own PCs used as a henchman through OHS (Vino Wensbane). While I can speak with Aluvian, I can't speak with Vino. He will attack enemies in combat, but I cannot issue any instructions to him. Any idea what's going on here?

@krakatoa - I've just checked, and 3rd level Paladin spells work for me. -- Start a game with the pregen Bioware 15th level Paladin -- Prepare "Prayer" (if not already prepared) and rest -- HUGO and ask Ohum to remember you -- Enter a different game with a different PC -- HUGO and call for your companions -- Recruit the Paladin -- Ask her to cast "Prayer" The 3rd-level Paladin spells that can be cast on request are "Dispel Magic", "Prayer" and "Remove Blindness/Deafness" OMB _________________________ [OHS Henchman System] [CTP Tilesets] [CleanModels 3.2]

Well, seeing that the last post was from febr.... I must ask, does anyone know why, after some level, your hench will not offer to cast specific spells? Whenever I level up my Paladin hench, before exporting him I choose the appropriate spell, and until he was lvl 11 (ie, with lvl 2 spells) this worked fine. However, I have just the option for one or two spells, not the new ones I chose for lvl 3 (I do rest after hiring him again so the spell should be available). Also, often he just stands still taking a beating, and will only react once he is down to injured... Very odd.. Any thoughts? Thx - k
