The Gestalt Cutscene Scripting System is a package of custom functions for Neverwinter Nights that makes it easy to create your own in-game cinematic sequences, just like the ones in BioWare's expansion packs.
By automating and simplifying many of the most complex and tedious parts of cutscene scripting, the Gestalt Cutscene Scripting System makes creating a cutscene much easier than with the standard BioWare functions, as well as adding more advanced functionality such as improved camera controls which allow you to go beyond anything BioWare have created...
Two demo modules and an HTML manual and tutorial are included to get you started. The demo modules require both expansion packs and NWN v1.67 or higher, but you don't need either expansion pack to use the scripting system itself.
As seen in Dreamcatcher, Demon, Island Adventures, The Lord of Blight and many other modules!
I have just downloaded the files and am going through the tutorial website. I am getting a problem where I cannot define the variable without TYPE. It leads me to in_g_cutscene script under the GestaltClearFX function. apparently cannot detect iType? Any clues, help, suggestions would be appreciated. Also does this script still work with the lastest Update or am I wasting my time?

"every time my module is opened after first starting up NWN, the first actions in the cutscene script are completely skipped and it jumps to the next action as soon as the area loads"
It's possible some of the actions are taking place before the area finishes loading and the player appears in it. I seem to remember having this issue. Make sure you're triggering the cutscene from the area OnEnter script and not (say) the module loaded script, and if that doesn't work try triggering the cutscene from an OnEnter script assigned to a trigger zone around the player's starting position. That should guarantee the player is actually in the area and everything is fully loaded before the script starts running.

I'm simply blown away that you were able to craft this. Any modder that manages to outdo the original development team deserves nothing less than a 10 in my book!
The only issue I'm having with these scripts is that, every time my module is opened after first starting up NWN, the first actions in the cutscene script are completely skipped and it jumps to the next action as soon as the area loads. However, when i exit the game and restart the module, the script works fine. Weird, but most likely an issue with the game and not your scripts.

Excellent. Made scripting a cutscene a much simpler process. Quicker also, since not only was there much less coding to do, but it completely cut out the step where I storm out of my room looking for someone convenient to murder. Thanks.

Is this backwards compatable with the Gestalt Camera system? If I were to import this into a module that had the old scripts, would they still function, or would it cause problems or not go?
Thanks for a great cutscene system.

This system is a life saver :D I don't think I could have ever done any decent cutscene without it. Thanks gestalt.
