Description
Here is a simple way to prevent players from using the log out to avoid respawn penalty. It places a death token into the pc's invetory when they die. When they log in the item will still be there, the script will test for the token and apply a more extreme penalty. This file has been updated and includes two options for applying the penalties to people who try the log out upon death exploit.

Just another thankful ghetto scripter giving credit where credit is due. "10"

Works great and solves that age old relogging exploit during bleed downs when a PC dies.

WOO HOO! Thx! Just what I needed. Simple and easy. Thx for saving me the trouble of figuring this out myself.
CHEERS to Jeff!

I've been using this system in my PW for about four months now, and I think it's fantastic. As far as the DM Rez function, it does disallow the raising of PCs when in different zones (using the "Heal" function), but it's certainly worth having to perform the two extra clicks to help eradicate the log off/log on deal.

The only two downsides are 1) if the PC logs out immediately before dying (so that they're killed after logging out) it doesn't apply (which can't really be avoided anyway), and 2) if a PC crashes legitimately after dead or when dying then the penalty is still applied. Such is life.

I had a couple of additional questions and Jeff emailed me right back. Kudos, Jeff. It's because of people like you that people like me can have functioning PWs. :)

Thanks Heziva, great script, but when player leaves server when he is dead and enter again after server's restart damages won't be applied??

Sry but I don't like this script. Whith this u can not use anymore the DM Resureciton button. I prefers to use this...
OnLeave:
SetLocalInt(GetModule(), "hp_"+GetName(GetExitingObject()), GetCurrentHitPoints(GetExitingObject()));

and onEnter, u just have to apply damages...

What will happen if chars inventory is full?

First, you would need to unzip the .rar file. Then follow the instructions in the readme.txt file.

where do I put the script?, and how do I incorporate the Rar file?

This is really intended for server vault mods. If it is a local vault character, a person can do just about anything to the character that they want to in order to exploit the game.

What if they use a previously saved character?
