Loved this in Dragons Bane!
Would love to see a RP + HS PW a la bloodlines with the lycs and vamps. Maybe ravenloft setting?

ok, just updated it with a bunch of changes and a fully operational boosted Horodrim subrace. If you are starting from scratch, you can now simply import the included erfs and you'll then only have to make a couple of adjustments. If you are inserting this system into an existing mod, it will be a much more involved task. See instructions in the download. There is now a demo too.
hay im not sure if you will resond here but i couldnt get the sub race system working could you put together a blank mod with the system installed so i can see how it all goes together i keep geting a error msg when compling. _________________________ Time is the Fre in Which we Burn

the talismans are included in the .erf file in the download. They should go to the custom palate in your items section.
You need to add ApplySubrace(oPC); in your OnClientEnterScript. Did I forget to put that in the instructions? My apologies if I did.
I am attempting to use this , but am unable to get it to work at all. Now I fallowed all your instructions exactly, but I notice the instructions make note of a Talisman of some kind. Where is this item found in the toolset, and in what script is it used to give this item oput on character creation.....????? _________________________ Today is born the seventh one

Loved the implementation of it in Dragon's Bane!

With this script, do vampires have the ability to drain blood from enemies? How about blood letting in order to heal another vampire?

I'm using in a teaser SP mod for my PW. I may use it in the PW too, but my scripter likes to tinker with things. :)

I am thrilled that you are using this system in your mod elara! It would be great to see the subrace system in a more balanced environment, and not so uber. I know your style of modding tends to be more realistic than mine. I tend to start foaming at the mouth and make my mods way too munchkin. It was the chancellor! The sith lord! He made me do it.....he turned me to the dar....ok you get the message.
Anyway, I thought Id let you know that I had the dragoon morphs on a timer based system so that you only had one shift per sleep. I also altered the onplayer rest so that more powerful dragoons had to wait longer to rest. Similar to this, the dragoon also gains more morph time as he levels up. Unfortunately, while a good idea, it proved far too problematic. The problems seemed to stem from sleeping or dying while morphed. Once you set a command to fire (using a delay) you cant stop it. I tried setting a flag that could be switched off before the timer expired so that if the delay called the subroutine and the conditions had since changed (i.e. you died or slept and thus reset your morph timer) then it would abort. In any case, I didnt have the time to get it working properly (or maybe I just couldnt).
I ended up making the dragoon a toggle morph so as to avoid being morphed out of your form 5 seconds after you changed into your form (after resurrecting or waking up) and being left with no morphs for 10 game hours until your next sleep.
I think the succubus is still under the timer system and maybe the vampire too, so you might want to have a look at this. The code for this can be found in the onactivate script. I can be contacted on [email protected]. If you need a hand with your new mod or just with my subrace system then feel free to contact me anytime.
Looking forward to seeing the mod you are making. Is it nwn1 or 2 you plan to make it for? Best of luck with it!

Indeed, a version for NPC's would be useful. Still the basic framework, in and of itself, is quite handy. Which, like he said is the point:
"That aside, if you must give your 5 cents worth and vote, please consider the fact that the current abilities that I have given these subraces can ALL be changed. Its the framework that you really should be apprasing, not the abilities that I chose to give."
Takes about 10 minutes work to change it to suit your tastes. _________________________ I detest the stupid. I delight in their demise.

Since some people CANNOT READ, everything is QUITE alterable. If either of you nimrods who voted 4 and 5 had the slightest bit of modding ability, you would realize it's quite flexible.
I plan to use it on my PW. _________________________ I detest the stupid. I delight in their demise.

Hey, the concept here is great. But do you think that you will ever make this same script for npc's? I have a clan of vampyre npc's in my mod and I would love to make them sensitive to the daylight. Could you maybe give me a clue as to how to do this? Thanks...

I can only compile the scripts "cm_vamp_burn" and "cm_subrace_extra" under these exact filenames, I think this is a great idea, shame it doesn't work fully. Well not for me anyway.

Sorry, just added this as maybe it will help...the 4 scripts that won't compile are..OnHeartbeat, OnPlayerRest, OnPlayerLevel and the Vampire script itself
Thanks

Looks good however, I get a compile error...undefined identifier...and it points to ApplySubrace(oPC)...
Any Idea why?

I wasn't really looking to score a high rating with this one. Its just a bit of fun. That aside, if you must give your 5 cents worth and vote, please consider the fact that the current abilities that I have given these subraces can ALL be changed. Its the framework that you really should be apprasing, not the abilities that I chose to give. This system was the one that I developed for my power hack n slash mod (Dragon's Bane) - that's why they are so overpowered. You should see the monsters that these guys have to come up against. Trust me, they aren't overpowered in my mod.
So have a look at the subrace_include script and you'll see how easy it is to change the abilities. If created a heap of wrappers with logical names so you can configure the system pretty easily.
I am under some heavy time constraints at the moment. So for people with scripting abilities in the negatives, this is not for you until I can add in some in-script comments and a more extensive documentation package.
These subraces are fun to play and add a much needed fresh new element to gameplay.
