This script package will allow you to disallow players from getting Devestating Critical on any weapon.
It will delevel the player to the level they got Devestating critical, and then re-level them back-up. This can be used with an existing server vault (meaning players are also checked for dev crit onEnter).
It is also idiot proof:
Say for example: What if the player was level 40, was deleveled to 32 to remove Dev. Crit..
but then she/he took Dev Crit again at 36, which would mean the OnPlayerLevelUp script would cause him to delevel to 35, and give him/her XP only enough to level up to 36...
This would mean the player will end up at level 36... but was level 40 to start with!
This script makes sure that it doesn't happen.
To use: Simply import in the .erf containing: sha_disallow_devc, and use CheckForDevestatingCritical(object oPC) on PlayerLevelUp and OnClientEnter.

LOL i cant even imagin how a postet script can get into a debate, he is just doing alot of servers a favior, with tributing his scripts, i wish i had his skills at scripting, im only trying to learn it. But really if you dont lige dev crit immunity just dont download it to your server q:0)

honestly whats wrong with dev crit? its the heavies only defence against hide in plain sight... for the sake of fairness you should disable them both if you're gonna disable the other

Ok, This is the reasons that most servers dont want Dev Crit. it is just about a 1 hit kill every time someone hits if you do it right. It is unfair as many servers do not have itums Immune to Critical Hits. and it is just plain out a Feat way to powerfull. I run a RP server, that is why i asked for the script. i dont want people killing everything and anything in 1 hit. It is just too much.
Players/Module makers have varying opinion on what is fair and what is not. That being said; this was not put up here for a debate on the fairness or the unfairness of devestating critical. I wrote this script at a request. I really don't understand why people are so up-set about devastation critical.
this is the power of the barbarian or fighter(or any other melee classe). It's like remove the epic spells and the matemagic feats for magical classes. If you are wizard and want to fight with barbarian...then kill him before he reach you...or pray to his critical to be 20/X2
