*** Designed to be persistent using Bioware DBs and to work with any module which contains all expansions.
*** No module wide heartbeat events used.


This module and erf set has the following features:

Vuldrick's Vampire PCs (somewhat based on Ercan's Vampire Subrace)

PCs can now become full fledged vampires with the proper abilities as per 3rd Edition DnD rules.
Check out the demo module by making your PC's subrace "Vampire" ...

I included a spells 2da file that allows many negative energy spells to be used on self 
so vampires can heal themselves appropriately.  Place this in your override folder 
or use it to make a hak file.



The following scripts will need to be overwritten or merged by the user:

INSTRUCTIONS FOR ADDING THE SYSTEMS TO YOUR MODULE:  



1.  Import the erf.  Overwrite the scripts unless you wish to perform a manual merge.
Note:  Overwriting code will destroy any custom scripting you have already done on scripts of the same name.

In x0_i0_spells, find the section that checks if target is undead (around line 608) 
and use this for the if statement just above the "else if (nTouch >0)"

3.  If you choose to have PC Vampire's respawn once "created" then you need to place a 
waypoint with the TAG "vamp_crypt" in an area for them to respawn to.



4.  If you wish to see how I implemented the code, just look at the demo module.



5.  Modify the options in the script "vamp_settings" to your liking.  The subrace engine is highly configurable 
and all changes should be made in this script.  The script contains explanations on how to make changes.



6.  If you want to provide a placeable that will give out new coffin tokens, simply attach the script "vamp_coffinmaker"
to the onused event of any placeable you wish to use.



7.  If you wish to keep vampires from going to certain areas, simply attach the script "vamp_denied" to the door or 
transition trigger you wish to stop them at.



8.  If you wish to make undead in a given area friendly to a vampire PC, simply attach the script "vamp_ent_buildng" 
to the area enter event.



9.  If you wish an encounter to spawn for Vampire PCs only, place the script "vamp_enc_versus" in the onenter event
for the encounter trigger you wish them to activate.



10.  If you wish an encounter to spawn for anybody but a Vampire PC, place the script "vamp_encounter" in the onenter event
for the encounter trigger you wish them to activate.



11.  Build your module.



12.  Load module up and make a new PC with a subrace of "Vampire"

To hympyke: Sure thing, all my stuff is designed for use on my HCR based PW. You will want to manually merge the spell code with HCR spells though . . . other than the spell issues, it should work great with about anything I can think of.

Sorry for your troubles friend. I assume the user has a good familiarity with the basics of the toolset and if you do not, I am sure you would be lost. Perhaps you can just look at the demo module I have in my Ravenloft Starter Mod to see how I implemented this? Hope that helps ya!

Ok you want a comment, I have NO clue how to get this to work. Your read me doesn't tell me enougth. You say I have to make these changes at these lines.
But I'm not geting anything on the where. Or the how or the what tools to use.

Just make sure it is in the server side override folder as well as all the client overrides.

You could alternatively make it into a .hak file and use it that way.
