This will run Spot (or Search for PCs in Detect Mode) checks on PCs in the area of the Findable Items container every minute (default value, can be changed by setting a variable). An item within then will spawn, on a successful roll, at the nearest Spotted Item Location waypoint. PCs must have moved between checks, to prevent AFK or idle PCs from harvesting a site.
The DC, check interval (in seconds), and "refresh rate" can be adjusted through the variables on the container. The DC increases with each item found, and the refresh rate determines in how many minutes the DC will go down by 1 (to a minimum of the base DC). "dcRaise" determines by how much the DC should increase on a successful find.
Use only one Findable Items container per area! You must also paint a "Spotted Item Location" waypoint at any point you would like an item to be spawned.
Default Settings:
- Checks every 60 seconds
- Lowers DC in 10 minutes
- Starting DC of 10
- Minimum distance from a point to make a check: 10 feet
- DC raises by 1 per item found
2 February 2006 - Added a 4-step readme, added variable fDistance so that PCs also need to be within fDistance feet of the waypoints to do the check.
27 February 2006 - Added the anti-AFK code and dcRaise variable. All sites must be updated to include a dcRaise variable.
10 March 2006 - Fixed something that didn't come up in testing. Made some code shorter. Renamed the scripts. (Please change the heartbeat of Findable Items to "asb_fiinit"). Many apologies to whomever this has inconvienenced.

Excellent idea -- a thing that many builders/etc. forget -- and a great way to simulate all those things you can't really put placeables for ...
How else to say in NWN... "Ah, you Spot a shiny dagger over there in the leaves under that tree"... or "Hmmm this pillar has a hidden compartment -- oh! it has a gem inside!" etc.
Have not tried it yet, i know, lame, but the idea is great and it will get tested -- putting this in my folder for stuff to add to my module...
**why will this folder not shut?** what do you mean it is too full?
