This is a modification of Lilista's Craft System to make use of CEP 2.0 additional content. This replaces the NWN craft skill and cost based system for modifying player character armor and weapons with one that is no-cost and requires no craft skill points. A player must simply right-click on the ground next to his/her character to bring up a menu to customize the appearance of an equipped helmet, shield, weapon or individual armor/clothing components.
All credit for the original craft system goes to Lilista. Credit for original CEP compatibility modifications goes to darkstar73. Changes to darkstar73's version consist of updates to the system's two 2da files and four script include files to reflect the numbering of additional content available in CEP 2.0.
NWN 1.68 module builders should download and use either LCSCEP20.rar or LCSCEP20wLS.rar, not both, depending on your preference. (See descriptions below for the differences.)
NWN 1.69 Beta and CEP 2.1 users:
A new version of Lilista's Craft System for NWN 1.69 and CEP 2.1 (LCSCEP21.rar) is uploaded here: Link
NWN 1.69 and CEP 2.0 users:
I'll leave LCSCEP20_169.rar posted here for a few weeks for those who need, but that version is outdated.
As of NWN 1.69 Beta 6, NWN 1.69 is not fully compatible with CEP 2.0, since NWN 1.69 Beta 6 and later use some of the same tailmodel.2da line numbers as CEP 2.0 in order to add a number of scalable creature appearances. Due to this conflict, the tailmodel.2das can't be combined without either choosing to use one or the other where overlap occurs, or substantial changes. Users may see issues with either some of the new scalable NWN creature appearances or some CEP creatures with tails, depending on how you decide to configure your tailmodel.2da. (This is due to the 2da incompatibility and not related to LCS).
The latest NWN 1.69 Beta, for those who are looking for it, is available here: Link
I welcome feedback from the community on both performance and features.
(Updated 12/21/07 to add ability to change cloak colors - Replaces LCS_CEP_2_0_wLS.rar) .rar file containing both a single .hak file version (LCSCEP20wLSs.hak) for those who want to use the system without making changes, as well as a separate .hak and .erf file version (LCSCEP20wLS.hak and LCSCEP20.erf) for those who for those who want to import the scripts and dialog file to customize them. This version allows players to select all weapon appearances, including the Star Wars "light saber" blade appearances, and all shield appearances, including the semitransparent ones. Other than revised models_weapon.2da and models_shield.2da files included in both .hak files, this version is otherwise identical LCSCEP20.
(Updated 12/21/07 to add ability to change cloak colors - Replaces LCS_CEP_2_0.rar) .rar file containing both a single .hak file version (LCSCEP20s.hak) for those who want to use the system without making changes, as well as a separate .hak and .erf file version (LCSCEP20.hak and LCSCEP20.erf) for those who for those who want to import the scripts and dialog file to customize them. This version allows players to select all weapon appearances except the Star Wars "light saber" blade appearances and all shield appearances except the semitransparent ones.
(Added 2/20/2008) Updated version for NWN 1.69 and CEP 2.0. Adds ability to change appearances of cloaks and CEP-only weapons, as well as several options and other settings for module builders that wish to customize the system. (This version is NOT NWN 1.68 compatible.)
Now that CEP 2.1 is released, I am working on an update to the NWN 1.69 version. I will post it here as soon as it is complete and tested, hopefully in the very near future.
Thanks for the feedback. The cloak appearances you describe sound like they're from an add-on cloak hak, like Estelindis' Cloaks v1.8 (god_cloak_colour.hak), rather than CEP 2.0, since CEP 2.0 itself merely adds "w/wings" copies of the 14 NWN 1.68 cloak appearances and an additional "non-appearing Cloak" appearance.
I just tested LCSCEP20 with Estelindis' Cloaks v1.8, in case that's what you're using. Both the single hak (LCSCEP20s.hak) option and the option using LCSCEP20.hak plus scripts imported from LCSCEP20.erf worked fine, as long as god_cloak_colour.hak is placed above cep2_top_v1.hak in the module properties. (The cloakmodel.2da in the add-on cloak hak must supercede the default CEP 2.0 one.)
If you want to provide a few more specifics, like what haks you're using besides CEP 2.0 and whether you just can't change cloak colors or the extra appearances aren't showing up at all, I'll try to help identify the problem.

I found this tool to be quick, easy, and useful. However, I cannot seem to get it to work with the latter CEP robes(the Cross, the Spider, the Bird, Sword n' Wheat, Hammer n' Anvil, etc). I'm on 1.68.8099 with CEP 2. I downloaded LSCEP20.rar. Big thanks for making this available, either way.
tbkethanhunt, I'm not sure what you "had to fix", but I just rechecked and I'm not seeing any broken conversations. How about a few specifics?
- Which version did you download?
- Did you import the scripts and dialog or did you use the single hak without the .erf? (Per the Readme file)
- What version of NWN are you using?
- Where exactly in the conversation do you see it "just end"?
- By "links to the dye color adds", do you mean color numbers above 0-63? If so, the number limits are intentional and consistent with those for the rest of the clothing items in the original LCS.
Testing this now, Looking fantastic so far (Am using it with 1.68,CEP 2.0, all expansions and Jenx 2.2) Certainly a great improvement on the clumsy hit and miss system of individual dyes.
The NWN 1.69 version is posted, as promised, for those who want to try it out using the Beta 5 (or later) patch. I'd appreciate feedback on how well it works.
I'll keep the latest (Dec 07) 1.68 version haks posted here indefinitely, as well. (I removed the older set that these superceded - if someone really needs them, let me know and I'll repost.)
An updated NWN 1.69 version that adds the ability to alter cloak appearances, switch between cloak versions that hide and show wings, and alter CEP-only weapons is undergoing final testing with NWN 1.69 Beta 5 and should be posted within the next day or so.
For those who want to modify cloak appearances, as well as colors, I will provide another update after the final NWN 1.69 patch is released. That patch should make changing cloak appearances practical by fixing a needed scripting function. For now, I've just added the ability to change cloak colors.

I was just thinking last week that something like this was needed. I tested this out and it seems to work perfectly. Thanks for sharing this update with the community! _________________________ OnyxEye - Lead Admin
