Nature's Balance / Summon Creature is a WIP - as soon as the Summon Creature templates are done both spell scripts will be overhauled.
In the meantime - thanks for the input; however, I beg to differ on several points (but why bother). Your opinion is what it is and that's that. _________________________ --

This was quite good in first stages, but then you screwed it up! Why everyone wants to make a package like CEP? Or package to be considere as new patch ? The prefix x4, you used looks like you want this to be a new patch or what. I don't think it's a good idea. I really don't like that this project included creature and cloak models an whatelse...
Furthermore, many things especially the new ones cannot be placed into override. So when this project added new spells it became hak-dependant and it can't work on server side. Also, changing standard dialog.tlk is very, very bad and evil idea.
About the scripts. I wanted to know how is Nature's Balance changed so I opened spell script. Well, first script that I opened and I see big wrong "if (nDuration = 0)", when I saw few others I think you need the better scripter...
I really like dnd 3.0 fixes, especially spell changes, spell scrolls changes, item changes, encumbrance, armor, however as this is now, I have to rip those things from your package and thats a really shame...

CAP,
Thanks for the input, you offer a lot of valid points and I'm glad to receive such thorough feedback.
No, I'm not going to try to rebuff your opinion - it is what it is. Good luck with your project. _________________________ --

Don't get me wrong, I love the work pstemarie (and whoever helped him) with the spells. Love the spell work. _________________________ Vox Populi. Vox Dei The Community Adventure Project
9fires all I can say since I am now working with pstemarie that the newest version will be even more complete.
It will have creatures, and may even have the CPP rolled into it thus making this overall a very well rounded system, that will only be expanded upon.
The whole system will be just drop in and play capatability thru the override no haks involved, so it won't count toward your resource cap which will save the builder plenty of room for tileset haks such as CTP's, LR's, and LoW's. It will also keep the custom palettes clear for the builders to keep track of there own versions of the creatures and placeables, which I find very appealing. Don't forget you can vist us at our website and keep up on the news and project as it devolops.(sites in the signature)

Its just 9fires... I had to add the CAP cuz nwvault don't like it when their user's names start with numbers... and after a rather public row with that jag off Olander, my 'ninefires' ID is banned.
Pstemarie, I love the work you've done with the spells, beats the snot outta the nerfed spellhooks I've been monkeying around with. To be honest, I'm not the spellcaster type. Never play wizards, sorcerers and when I think bard, I think some very politically incorrect things about the individual's sexual orientation. In game, I don't allow casters around me to buff me, beyond mayhaps flame weapon. I hate glitter. Spellcasting in particular interests me the least. As a builder of worlds though, I totally understand the need for such things, so I give this project a 10 with a caveat.
I use a great deal of CC content in my project... which is the Community Adventure Project or CAP... and to utilize your systems as the skeleton from which to drape my code on would require abandonment of a great chunk of that CC - which is CEP and my own cep-compatable hak - and a rewrite of my crafting system... neither of which are a likely event.
My opinion here is that in this stage of the game, NWN has been drawn quartered, disected, bisected, tricked out, tripped over and done up to the nines. There is such a proliferation of wonderful things, created by you, me, and everybody else that for any project to be successful now it must A either encompass everything or be modular enough to be encorperated into a greater work.
This is just like HCR, Vuldrick's base module, my own work or any other 'ruleset' out there, its your interpolation of what should be and bravo on the effort, but this can not serve in any kind of capacity other than a curiousity. If it where made modular, where in you specific systems could be folded in as desired, then I would see great use for this package.
Now yer gonna respond with some kind retaliatory statement and suggest to me that I could or should or couldn't or shouldn't, but before you do... Don't. I'm a painter and scriptor, I neither have the time nor inclination to muddle my way through 2das.
There are four pillars here in the CC community that I can see, thats CTP (and all their affiliates - CMP, CPP etc etc et al), most of worms stuff, most of lord r's stuff and CEP. Until someone builds a fashion package that contains all of the added PC parts and weapons parts, CEP is a requisite.

Crazedmages, the content goes in the override folder - no haks involved (unless you are using CEP). The only non-override piece is the tlk. _________________________ --

I would think that if this on the server side for PWs then the players should not have to download anything else....but the custom tlk table would make it. *grumbles* This is an awesome system too but I am trying my darndest to stay away from haks...so only a 9.5 from me,lol. _________________________ People react violently to fur rather than leather because it is easier to pick on rich chicks with bad taste than biker gangs.

With the imminent release of the 1.69 update I have begun work on updating this release. Since 1.69 will be the last update for NWN I'm thinking of going back to using a custom dialog.tlk. Any thoughts on this? Email me direct - link is in the file description above. _________________________ --

Updated to ver.s 1.3 - added two missing files from the 1.2 update.
Onomat, I have tested the material with 1.69 Beta2 and everything seemed to work fine. I'm not too familiar with multiplayer, but I assume that all the players would need this stuff in their override. _________________________ --

Hi, I'm very interested in using your work here in my new PW. But I have two questions. First being, would implementing this server side require the spell casters to download anything, say to their override folder, to use this system? And second, has anyone done any testing with this system in the 1.69 betas?

Genisys, I prefer to view the "watering down" you describe as fixing some serious flaws in BioWare's translation of the D&D 3.0 ruleset. While the game works great as packaged - add this fix, set the difficulty to Hardcore, and have fun playing the game somewhat closer to what the D&D rules are about (at least for spells).
There are numerous other fixes and spells that will be added - but not until after the semester is over and Summer starts. _________________________ --

Coming Soon - More spell fixes, creature AI enhancements, and implementation through a custom tlk file for both CEP 2.0 and non-CEP modules (much cleaner than messing with dialog.tlk).
Also includes instructions for implementation in the OC, SOU, and HotU. _________________________ --
