Custom forge. Completed with NPC, conversation and area with example how to use the Forge. Basically, this forge is used to make characters work harder for the most powerful items. Make the players quest for a bunch of items, and collect a certain amount of XP before they can forge the item. All complete with some global variables, and pr item options. DM's can change what is needed for the item, while server is running, or designer can decide it while creating the module.

Well, i cant believe my idea is still in the top 10 scripts woot!
anyhow... to 'fix' the conversation, you have to set each instance of the character to the creatures name that you place. (ie: if you made a dwarf, you have to make the new conversation on the dwarf use HIS name...otherwise it wont work...)
other than that, make sure that the chests have the proper info in the tag, and make sure your PC is the proper level to SEE the item (based on that tag!)
I just put up my ooooolld mod, with the original testing scripts still running ...NO problems at all :)
(not sure if this was remembered or not...but if you place an item in the chest, and later UPDATE that item in the pallette, you must RECREATE the item in the chest...(otherwise the old item will still be used))
This sounds great, and I would like to try it out... but I can't get the chap in the test module to do anything. Not sure I want to go further until I can figure that part out. I'm not much of a scripter, so if there is something wrong with the conversation of the 'smith', I can't tell by looking at it. If the conversation has to be fixed in order for it to work... what exactly needs to be done?

To get the sample npc to work, you need to fix his dialogue, but the system itself does in fact work very well.

I saw this and couldn't wait to use it. It sounds like it will do exactly what I need a custom forge to do. However.....I must be doing something wrong. I loaded up the example mod and it doesn't work. I talk to the smith and nothing happons. No conversation at all. Can someone pleasehelp. I really want to use this but I'm having no luck at all. Please email me with any help as it will be faster.

An excellant forge! I use this in my module but i change it a bit. I delete all the item mods that i don't want such as haste, keen ect. Nice and flexable, thanks.
