DS Careful Sneaking Overhaul v1.0 BETA (dssn) - lots a more fun of sneaking
Some simple, minimalistic and easy customizable adjustments of the usual NWN game mechanics.
What it does:
- Opening or closing door/containers uncloaks the PC.
- When a non-hostile NPC observes a PC going stealthy or going visible, he makes him visible and calls the (placeholder) function dssn_callguards.
- Attacking and/or chasing guards can lose track of you if you're hidden. Now rogues finally got a fair chance and you can shake them off.
- When a guard or a friendly bumps into you, you get uncloaked. So watch where you're going.
- When a guard sees you, you get uncloaked.
- Light zones modify your hide skill when you cross them (or even uncloak you).
Thank CAP ... I usually just make a wuick blank module and double import stuff when not sure of it. The second import will bring up a list of "do you want to overwrites" that can be viewed quickly as well.
Downloaded it the otherday, will vote when tested :) _________________________ The Savage Frontier and Surrounds - NWN PW based in the Forgotten Realms: Link
- This looks purdy cool. I'll have a look now, vote later :)
@ Kalbearn - change the extension to .hak and open with your the hak editor and you can see whats in the erf... I hear there is an erf utility that does effectively the same thing... but I dunno nothing about that. _________________________ Vox Populi. Vox Dei The Community Adventure Project
Thanks a lot. Oh: it overwrites nothing, that simple.
It's really not so much about what it does (not much), but what I cut away in the meantime. Some assembly required and targets advanced scripters. But should really work in most cases. With henchmen, as usual, it gets a little more complicated. You could add a LOT of things. Only the (Splinter Cell inspired) light zones are a bit of luxury, and easily removable. That's kind of my tribute to the great rogue modules out there. I sure plan a module for this (but not english, sorry), in the far future, then we'll see how it plays out.
And uhm: the notes.nss in the develop module is old trash. Please ignore.

I really like the idea of them being uncloaked if they bump into them.
What if anything does this overwrite since it's an erf? _________________________ The Savage Frontier and Surrounds - NWN PW based in the Forgotten Realms: Link
