This script + item adds a special book to a module that PCs can use to keep a list of names of the different creatures they have killed and a total number of them slain.
Included in this small package:
1 book blueprint (Plot category) "Battlefield Journal"
1 tag-based item script for updating the book by "using" it
1 modified general on-death script (nw_c2_default7)
Builders: If you have not modified the nw_c2_default7 script, you can just overwrite it with the text included. If you have already modified your module's script, just copy and paste in the marked section and the "LettersOnly" function to your script and recompile.
You'll also have to provide the book (it's tag and resref are both "killkount") for PCs, since the scripting won't record the kills unless that book is in the PC's inventory.

This is an awesome way to automate a "chronicle" of battles a Character has survived, both large and small. I've used it in Aenea, and its always a hoot to look back at all the different enemies I've defeated.

What a great idea! It could be interesting especially for those who also love games like World of Warcraft... And it makes me wonder how many things can be done using items!
I'm not sure how much of the code for NWN can easily be ported to NWN2. I don't own the 2nd game myself (and most likely never will), but I've heard they're similar as far as scripting goes. _________________________ World of Aenea (Hall of Fame PW and the origin of all my works)
