Version 1.02 Updated 06/09/2002 This module implements a game of darts (501 rules variant) and is designed for single player (vs an NPC) or multiplayer play. A game is started by speaking with the referee and then another player speaking with the referee to join the game or by the player asking an NPC to play. Betting (up to 100gp) is also implemented. Players need to use the special darts that the referee sells in the game. The module is a single inn room containing a darts board, referee and three NPCs. It is designed to be imported into a campaign for use in an inn room as a distraction for players whilst other characters run around the city and do things (I wrote it so that I can use it in my game). See readme.txt for more info.

several years later, and this is still a great script. I downloaded and installed it quite easily in my mod and it workd without a hitch. EXACTLY what I was looking for in my social mod. thanks! Great work, and a lot of fun, and easily customizable. Easy to understand, and it went in with minor effort on my part. The perfect prefab. 10!

Lots of fun. Too bad wizards can't play. Had a lot of writetimestamped functions that should be commented out.

Very nice script, adds an interesting option for a tavern or such. Only slight problem I've found is that once I've played against an opponent and the game has ended, I can't play with him again... I've tried fixing it but didn't really dedicate much time to it, the NPC player still tells me he's busy.
This is a compilation of the old system into a single score. There were 17 that made this score of 8.95 then rounded to 9.

Dart players seem to be working right now and tossing darts, not trying to punch the heck out of the board.

Like the dart game. Imported it into my module, but when a game is begun, the NPC players don't toss darts as they are supposed to, but instead just attack the dart board with hands or weapons, but not tossing darts, which, of course, causes the ref to say you must use darts, etc.
I've looked at the code but don't see why they do this, anyone know the reason why? I'm not exactly an expert scripter. Any help would much appreciated, thanks!

Hey I really want to try this out, but the link is dead?

Finally! What's a tavern without darts?

Wow, I just discovered this script and it's great. Works
perfect under the latest patch. A fun diversion for my
PCs!
Only complaint is that the user must walk away a bit after
the round, or they keep throwing - even though it doesn't
count, and of course the combat music keeps repeating.
Distance from target doesn't seem to matter for accuracy,
but in my tavern example I put the ref closer to the
throwing line, instead of right near the board.

Thanks for saving me HOURS of coding time (for a real non-
coder). This is just the diversion I wanted for one of my
inns.

Looks great, nice readme.txt file.
Maybe a little too complex for a newbie.
Not sure how to get it into my Module.

Another version will be available as soon as the change
propogates through.
Update 1.02 - After another suggestion I have added code so
that if a PC in a game tries to exit the area they
automatically concede the game. I have also include an
export file to make it easier to use the module and
included basic instructions on how to set up a darts game
in your module

I should add that the link will be fixed once the data
changes proliferate through to the web page (I'm not sure
how long this takes).

Sorry to those who haven't been able to download it, it would appear that my domain is having some technical issues... I've uploaded it to the nwvault server so it should work now.

The link doesn't work for me either.

I am very excited about this. I have been trying to figure
out how to do this and you have saved me a lot of work. I
love it.
