A new Troll Regeneration script, based on Lorinton's. The main feature added was support for various forms of magic, which did not work in most previous attempts at a troll regen. system. It uses the spell-hooking system introduced in Hordes to achieve this.
Included demo .mod needs both XP's. Included ERF does not require any XP's. Make sure you are patched to v1.62.

I really like this system. We've been using this at Vives. It needs some tweaking, but over all a thorough job. Something doesn't feel right with the regeneration, and the knock down. Can't put my finger on it but the behavior in game is a little odd.
All that said, for a system to build on for better troll behavior, this is the one to use. Good work. _________________________ Vault Submissions | Arnheim | Beyond Vives

I just tried this out with NWN 1.65 & XP1 & 2. I really like it, however there seems to be a problem when it comes to tracking permanent damage, at least with spells. Using flamestrike and darkfire, I dealt more than enough fire damage to turn the troll into an ash pile, but it remains "near death" rather than being finished off. However, if struck by a fire arrow or acid arrow it finally dies. I don't know if this is still being supported, but I hoipe it is, it works very nicely aside from this issue. _________________________ NWN Shield Reskins Link New Small Shields Link

As i saw when u damage trolls with acid or fire, the script stores it permanently. If this type of damage exceed trolls's maxhp, troll will die, even if he has still hp. If troll falls unsconcious, will stand up only if his's hp exceed the stored perm fire/acid damage.
Lc_spellhook seems not doing anything even in the attached demo module, mind+death spells doesnt work on trolls.

Hi,
I just installed this script and it appears to be working. There is one question I have though. I'm not sure if this is normal or not. After killing a Troll by melee or non fire/acid the troll drops to the floor and it says near death. Eventually it goes back up to Badly Injured, Injured, Barely Injured and then Uninjured. At that point a few more moments and the troll rises up and it says Uninjured. Then I hit him and it says Barely Injured again. At this point the troll falls back down. Is this by design or am I experiencing a problem? I would think that after a troll regenerates fully, it would be back at 100%. Also, if it was not to be at 100% health then why not have it rise up when its health status goes back to Injured? Anyhow, I have no problems with it being either way, I just want to know if the rising up then falling back when the trolls status goes to Barely Injured is a bug or the way its supposed to be.
Thanks
John

Good question. This script is currently not being supported by me, but I expect to return to NWN in a month or so. When I do, I will look at your bug.
You are of course, free to try and fix it yourself (that goes for anyone else, too).

Why do the following spells not effect the trolls?
-Darkfire
-flamestrike

I just finished checking this out. It works great. Well done LoCash. You improved those other scripts to make one that is very easy to use. Thanks.

Thanks for posting this LoCash. It will make all my Trolls be more like what I remember in the old PnP days.
