Nice one! I can't believe only one community member ever decided to vote for it. :(

Sounds kind of like Dungeon Siege 2 music.

It did sound a /little/ artificial, but not horribly so. I'd give it a 7 or 8 out of 10 (if I was registered at all ;) ). Sounds more melancholy than the standard NWN tracks, which is good. I'm making a Planescape module, and I'm constantly bemoaning the lack of appropriate music to include. I like it.

Also, did you think the sounds of the instruments used sounded artificial?

SSH83: Thanks for the feedback! Your comments are most welcome, since i'm not that familiar with making music to games and such. I'm more used to make pop and rock songs where repetition is not a problem, and that has without doubt affected all those pieces.
I'm glad you like them, by the way! :)
Okay. I just listened to your other two submitions (1/21/04). Both of them are good but there is one major problem in your submitions (a problem to me at least. XD ).
It's how you repeat the same thing over and over and over again too often!!!! The beats and the music are great, but when you repeat it too much they become annoying. I suggest that you don't remeat a segment more than 3 times in succession no matter what!!! *goes and count* Aha, you repeat the segments at least 4 times in each successtion!!! No wonder I felt the way I felt. :P
Ok. To sum it up, I think you have GREAT segments in all of the submitions, but they are the "catchy" segments, not the "body." Example of "catchy but not body" segments are the first musical segment of Final Fantasy's Chocobo theme, the beginning segment of Aeris' theme, and the start of the Star Wars theme. In other words, you have those potentially memoriable leading segments but you don't have the big bodies equally good for those segment to lead... All the bodies of your submition were good but way too short. When I felt that it's rocking the music would go back to repeating the starting segment... Anyways, I'm just trying to express how I felt, so...
Wow. This is great. I love it. It really sets the mood. Makes me want to explore something right now!! :P
comments:
- 33~44sec is sort of weak. The entire prefix is kinda long, and the above section is the weakest part imo. It may be just me though.
- It would be much better if you can make it so that the song loops back to itself. It is sort of weird when the music ends and stops for a few seconds then suddenly the first drum beat hits when the playback restarts. Not a really good thing for background music. It'll break player's focus on whatever he's doing. :)
