This is an optional download for the Penultima ReRolled campaign, which adds custom music to the game. Unpack all files in your 'music' directory, and enjoy! (This is not a final version of the soundtrack; I still have 2-3 more songs to add to it, but it should cover modules PR0, PR1, PR2, and PR3. Updated 9/29/2002.)

It's very nice to have custom music, but it didn't catch my attention. I'm just now starting the Hexa Code 1 (also by Stefan) and the music in the introduction is amazing!
This is a compilation of the old system into a single score. There were 9 that made this score of 7.11 then rounded to 7.

For those having trouble getting the music working, here's how to get it working. Once you've made the music directory, you have to tell NWN to use the music there. Open up nwn.ini in notepad and change the line "MUSIC=(drivelettergoeshereyo):\music" to "MUSIC=.\music". You may have to copy the normal NWN music off the CD into your happy new music directory to hear it, but other than that, it ought to work. ^_^
And if not... uhm... well, I tried. ^_^

Hi,
I left a comment on the main module page, but I can't seem
to *enable* any soundtrack, not even the official NWN
music will play in ReRolled? I did everything as per
instructions but so far no joy. This problem seems
isolated to the ReRolled module only, the soundtracks play
fine in other modules? wonder what can be causing the
problem?

In reply to F.B - yes, making a music directory will work
fine, as long as you spell music correctly and all that.
This will also work for any other missing directories you
may wish to edit such as erf or ovveride

I can only do a minimal install of NWN due to some problem
with the play disk not wanting to install. But I don't
have a music directory. Should I just make one for this?

that was also probably the stupidest thing i had ever
done. i noticed that the .hak pack's features were not
working correctly, and i just realized... when i
reinstalled to a full version so i could add the music, i
forgot to rerun the patch.
damn, i'm an idiot.

that was a typo via Copy & Pasting. switch the last two
lines.

I am having the same problem as this "Noxes". i've
reinstalled NWN, played with some file tiers, buggered
around with settings left and right, but for some reason
it isn't playing the music, or even recognizing that it is
there.
this is incredibly infuriating. i really want to listen to
the music meant for the various scenes and situations!
is there some obvious step that needs to be done that is
being skipped? is there anything else you need to do
beyond the single step of copying the files to the Music
directory? any settings that need to be changed? do you
need to take the play disc out of the machine?
what else needs to be done besides take a reccomended
install and copy the files into the reccomended
it's just not damnably WORKING.
install's "music" folder?

I'm having trouble with the music.I put it in the music
folder then start to play the game.I even go to the music
box to turn it on an get no music.I get the NWN music but
not yours...:(

Now has music for PR0-PR3.
Posted by Stefan Gagne ( ..xxx.xxx ) at 2002-09-20 07:59:00
Okay, you can download again. :) It's still missing some
songs for PR2-5, but it has all the songs for the PR0/PR1
beta test.

HOLD OFF ON DOWNLOADING -- I need to add some more short
tracks for the DragonBites area. Annoying game show music
rules!
I did this song, yeah. It's just using music loops, though,
I can't compose from scratch.

I like this song. Very nicely done. Only suggestion would
be to break up the precussion a bit within the middle third
of the song. Did you compose this? If so, you're very
multitalented! It's has a very Tristram-feel to it, and a
somewhat neuvo-flamenco theme at the same time, especially
noticable towards the middle. Thank you for the Penultima
series, it's been truely enjoyable!
