This is a compilation of the old system into a single score. There were 3 that made this score of 6.33 then rounded to 6.

Oh, and a game can't be "released" as abandonware. Abandonware is basically warez except that the company has stopped making it, usually due to the fact that really old things hardly ever sell except to a small number of people. The distinction is that this means it's never officially classified as "abandonware" (the closest would be freeware when they make it freely available, but then it's not abandonware since it's 100% legal.) Anyway, the same laws protect the music as before. However, you will probably be happy to know that usually the music becomes the property of the company and is included in the game, so if the game is abandoned, the music PROBABLY is. And example of where this isn't true would be Konami's Castlevania game (the original for PC.) Ok, they haven't 100% abandoned it as there is talk of remakes and such, but you get the idea. You see remakes of the old themes quite often, and they would likely not appreciate copyright infringement even on Castlevania 1's music.

Whos music did John Williams steal? I never heard of it.
Also, they would need to warn you to remove the material in
question before they can take ANY legal action.

I'm not sure you should bother too iclude bmu files in a
hak pak. I would just include the .2da files and tell the
people to download a seperate music pack to their music
directory. In other words make them DO IT THEEMSELVES THE
LAZY BASTARDS!

of me. Or, Its right behind me and I have no clue.
Any answers whilest I getist morest sleepest.

I thought about the lawsuit implications, but the game has
been released as abandonware, so does the music not then
count as abandonmusic? You really think somebody would sue
over music that is from a game ten years old. Nobody is
claiming that they own it or wrote it. I thought people
who had played the old game might benefit from the
atmosphere, that is all.

There is an assumption being made that SSI actually owns
the music. I haven't listened to it yet so I cannot be
certain, but it wouldn't surprise me if it is not original
music in the first place.
Or they could pull a John Williams and 'use another piece
of music for inspiration'. Or as we like to call it: 'copy
something and claim it as your own'.

I'm pretty sure you have to get permission from SSI to be
in the clear.

Just don't try to SELL anything with copyrights or take
credit, and give full credit in the mod. to the maker or
original copyright holder. ;). Though I'm sure if anyone
wanted to get Sticky. It be different. If its for you and
your friends. Hell with the Man.
Optimistic,

Um, this just seems like a lawsuit waiting to happen. The
music may be good, but NWvault probably shouldn't
be "hosting" it.
