Ruath Fin Audas, 'Wind Over Granite' in Elven, is a haunting, developed melody with an ancient, ageless grace to it (if I do say so myself). It has Irish Flute, a Nordic violin, strings and an open surdo.
not saying that you've ripped off Jeremy Soule's work. You may have done so unintentionally. I know many times when writing music that i've come up with a melody that I think "Wow, this really works". Then I find out later that its used somewhere else :S.
Nice, though its the tune from Morrowind. The reverb on the violin is waaay too wet, i'd crank that right down.
Also, i'd agree with the fact that it doesn't seem to go anywhere. Perhaps write a middle 8 or something for it? You could even just improvise for a section.
In addition, just as a production thing, the Surdo is distorting. Either turn it down or use a compressor (or just a limiter) to keep that level under control.
I'm not really sure what else to say. The flute sound is nice, the violin is "stringy" and may sound nice if not for drowning in reverb. As for the composition, I can't really comment - Jeremy Soule wrote the melody used here for Morrowind, and its as nice now as it was then.

Well, how do I put this? The violin in the beginning sounded like it came from a world far, far away... but I was still sitting here in my room and not getting the best reception. That sort of left its mark on the whole piece.
After that it gets much better instrumentally, though I'm still not feeling that whole "ageless grace" thing. Maybe I'm too picky.

The solution to direct link errors is usually to copy and paste the URL, then, when it says no direct links, copy and paste again in the same window.
However, it looks like the part of the site this was hosted on is down or gone entirely. Anyway, you should never try to host something via servers like angelfire. They are about as reliable as Windows Millenium.

Angelfire doesn't allow direct linking, so I can't get this song. I heard it on the Vault Mix, and would love to get it.
Solutions? I'd be grateful.____________________________________

Good mood - but a bit repetitive. Maybe expand the themes slightly.
