Hu?
I must have been posting on the wrong comments thread then - the music pack Im talking about contains no midis from "Strahd's Possesion" (which is probably the game your referring to) but several tracks, proably taken from bands like Dargaard or somesuch.
I dont really know, thats why Ive been asking.
Its been some time since I downloaded this file (and since Im on dial-up now, I wont repeat it) - so either Ive mistaken it for something else when I posted my question, or you have...
But then how does H20rat's comment fit into this, if its about an old SSI game?
Well, maybe someone else could clarify this. :)

Rofl, it tells you right there where most of them came from... It's an old AD&D 2nd edition game (well, officially anyway, in reality it was a little too simplified to be called all that) named Ravenloft. I personally would have recorded those MIDIs played on a SB Live or better soundcard if I were making something like this. Problem is, it's just too much of a pain with all the licensing stuff. It's too hard to be sure whether it's legal to use such things or not.

I found the music (well, most of it) to be quite useful for creating a dark, dreadful atmosphere.
However, now Im curious from where the different tracks originated, since you said, you only collected the different songs and Im not too familiar with the genre to know them myself (yet). Well, except from "H20rat". :)
Could you (or someone else) please list the names for the different tracks as well as the groups that played them?
