I made a compilation of all of my soundsets, and the Minsc soundset made by Thinker. I will ONLY be updating this file from now on. I know it's large, but you'll have to live with it, otherwise I'll have to update every other file every time there is an update or patch for the game. Also, every character now has text strings appearing, I also did this for Minsc. Currently, I have these soundsets, let me know if there are others I should have: Annah(PS:T) Dak'kon(PS:T) Edwin(BG1/2) Edwina(BG2) Male Fighter 5(IWD2) Morte(PS:T) Minsc(BG1/2) Vhailor(PS:T) Xan(BG1) Any feedback would be nice ;) UPDATE: Added Murray(Monkey Island) Xzar(BG) and Guybrush(Monkey Island). Dialog.tlk and soundset.2da have been split and will be put in a seperate file. Link will follow shortly.
Does anybody know how to get those sounds out of the games ?
Or if you still read this Sander could you explain it please ?
I wasn't able to find a program that plays the
mono wav files correctly. :( _________________________ Ja khaless zhah waela !
Fantastic work!! FINALLY have some male voices that aren't fighter/combat oriented (or just plain dumb, IMHO)... Dak'kon will be perfect for an elven mage/monk type... and Xan will be great for the reluctant hero/mage type.
But please please please please PLEASE... can we have a Fall-from-Grace soundset?? Failing that, can you email me to let me know how you got the sounds out of PST so I can create my own?

hey, great soundsets. Can you make the IWD/IWD2's Female Warrior 3 and Heart of Winter's Male02 soundsets for NWN as well? I'd really like that, those are my favorite soundsets.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
There must be over a hundred soundsets here, something I didn't expect and most of which can be heard online!
(Erm... Unless I did something stupid when installing it))
Anyway, I could imagine that this took quite some time so once again, THANK YOU!
P.S Thank you...

Other golden oldies that ought to be included are Kagain (BG1). All the Wizardry 8 soundsets would be very suited to NWn if adapted a bit (NWN doesn't support soundsets that each have their own spell verbals :(). I'm still extracting them in my spare time but they've each got a lot more personality and attitude than the default NWN ones. If I do it might be for personal use, copywrite and stuff, you know.

I just downloaded you sound pack! Very nice work! ^^ I can see you can working on getting some of the female voices! I can't wait until you get Jaheira's and Aerie's ... But anyway.. If anyone has any idea where i can get ahold of Jahiera's.. Please e-mail me ^^ until then.. Great Job!
This is a compilation of the old system into a single score. There were 79 that made this score of 8.23 then rounded to 8.

Half of these don't work, including all of the custom ones this author wrote. Truly disappointing.
I assume it is an issue with HotU.

Its impossible to do for PC's in NWN.
I gather if you use the CODI character builder this will read hakpak soundset.2da first, but you run into the trouble of the PC voiceset not working in other modules without that soundset.2da.

Are there any none overwriting voicesets available
Posted by Su ( ..xxx.xxx ) at 2003-10-22 08:01:00
Do I need the soundset.2da and dialoge.tlk files to make this work? I'm new to this game and don't know jack about how it works. I just want to be able to select more voices for my characters.
I read the readme file and it says:
"This is a Portrait pack assembled from pictures from Planescape: Torment.
Place the unzipped files in your Neverwinter Nights override directory(usually c:\neverwinternights\nwn\override)
and you can select the portraits when creating a new character.
Then download any updates and the soundset.2da+dialog.tlk from NwVault as well, don't worry, it'll all be in the sounds section...
Legal Stuff:
I have no affiliation to anything whatsoever, seriously."
Is that the wrong readme file? Or am I just missing something?
I love the voices btw. I opened them up and listened to each individual one.
Thanks for making this!

These are great! I like the Morte, sounds like a good comic-relief sidekick.

Please read what it says there, the soundset.2da and dialog.tlk file are both in a seperate entry, in the sounds section of NWVault as well...

Is this updated to use 1.30 yet. Love this hak but as the previous post says it messes around with stuff if the Baldurs/Planescape voices are used in game. Please update, it brings a dose of much needed variety to the game

Also, this might be redundant, but if you try to install this with SoU, it will override the dialog.tlk, and then you'll get blanks in the new SoU infomation

Sander, i followed the instructions in the readme file to the letter, put the dialog.tlk file in my base Neverwinter Nights directory(c:\neverwinternights\nwn\) and then unzip the rest to my override folder(c:\neverwinternights\nwn\override), But i still don't have the soundsets listed for selection in character creation. Any help please????

Erm, what happend to the update?
Posted by Xenomorph ( ..xxx.xxx ) at 2003-06-26 09:47:00
I already created a dialog.tlk file with all the text. I just don't know how to get the .ssf files to properly link to them. Otherwise, I could do it myself.
Posted by Sander Philipse ( ..xxx.xxx ) at 2003-06-25 02:41:00
Nope, they won't be heard, sadly.
And I'll be putting up an update on friday(when I get SoU), but I'll be dropping support for the texts, because I would have to hand type 300+ lines again, and I'm not going to do that. Sorry......
Posted by Duran ( ..xxx.xxx ) at 2003-06-24 22:28:00
Stupid question but...would these sounds be heard by other players if you were playing online? (I'm pretty sure not, since they don't have the sound files for em, but anything goes...)
