I have a new setup and I switched to using QL Symphonic Orchestra slver along with Cakewalk. I no longer have to use the mouse pad to enter in notes. Here are two ambience songs that I made using the new setup.

I'll start with the good points on both.
Firstly, great arrangements! Really, some very good work on avoiding what I have a knack of doing - coming up with a theme and middle 8, then filling in the games with loops. The second track in particular retains the theme whilst actually progressing somewhere.
The sounds are good on both of them too. :)
Now, heres where it could improve -
dynamics! The first track, in the first section, the supporting strings should really come in and out of the mix. It'll add to that feeling of suspense.
Also, the overall dynamics of both tracks should be widened. The parts that I perceive to be the "quiet" sections are too loud and the loud sections are too quiet. Mainly, push the accompaniment down on those quiet sections and it'll really make both tracks a lot more dramatic and ejoyable. :)
