It's nice, but I don't thinks it's right for NWN modules. I was half expecting a lounge singer from the 1930s to belt out a song. I am a jazz performer, myself, so the upright bass sound went real nice with the piano to my ears. I am on the market myself for some new software... You have me beat by far, I am using an old version of Finale (2003) and then some freeware I found called Synthfont to do the soundfonts...

To answer your questions:
I'm using Reason 3.0, and yes, the brass-issue bugs me alot, but Reason 3.0 has decent brass-samples considering it's price-tag.
About the length, I could perhaps make it a tad longer. When I started laying down the notes, I just had the music evolve the way I felt was most natural to me, and ergo a bit short :) I was thinking about changing the end to a fanfare though.

First of all, I can hear that you are limited to certain software issues as is obvious by the brass. I have the same problems myself.
Second, I love the upright bass. If you listen to the world's greatest symphonies, I am sure you will find an the plucked bass parts.
The only problem I see is its length. Maybe you could expand upon each one of the sections, make it a bit longer. I really like the piano part, very good job.
